The Kriedeprinz is back in Genshin Impact! Are you prepared for him? We don't blame you if you aren't. With the frequency of banners it can feel like there is little time or resources to prepare for each new arrival. However, if you do manage to get Albedo, then he'll be a precious addition to your party.

Of course, your in-game budget of resin and primogems might only allow for a bit of wiggle room for experimentation regarding which weapons suit Albedo best. That's why we've done the experimentation for you. Now you can just sit back and take a look at this armament list to see which ones you have. Luckily, Albedo's not too picky with his weapon's rarity.

10/10 Skyward Blade (five-star)

  • Max Base ATK : 608
  • Secondary Stat: Energy Recharge 55.1%
  • Passive Ability Focus: CRIT Rate, speed, and damage buff

Truth be told, Albedo doesn't really need a weapon like this. His abilities scale off his DEF (defense) which means ATK-focused swords are wasted on him. However, the Energy Recharge secondary stat is highly beneficial for a main DPS Albedo (which still isn't that great compared to other dedicated DPS carries).

If Albedo is the only five-star you have and you want to use him as a DPS, then he'll do well with this weapon. A good chunk of his main DPS damage comes from his Elemental Burst and the Energy Recharge lets you use that a lot more often in conjunction with the Elemental Skill.

9/10 Summit Shaper (five-star)

  • Max Base ATK: 608
  • Secondary Stat: ATK 49.6%
  • Passive Ability Focus: Shield & ATK increase

Again, not the most optimal weapon for the typical Albedo build that capitalizes on DEF, but Summit Shaper is a good weapon for a niche Albedo. When used with the right artifacts, it can deal more damage than the Skyward Blade.

The caveat is that you're sacrificing a lot of Energy Recharge here, and Albedo doesn't really fully maximize the ATK additions. Still, this Geo-themed sword fits his aesthetics well enough. If you have it, then by all means, feel free to use it. Otherwise, it's not worth lamenting not having this weapon.

8/10 Favonius Sword (four-star)

  • Max Base ATK : 454
  • Secondary Stat : Energy Recharge 61.3%
  • Passive Ability Focus: Energy generation on CRIT

Think of the Favonius Sword as the more available and affordable version of the Skyward Blade. It does pale in comparison to a five-star weapon's damage but that doesn't matter much since you can spam Albedo's Elemental Burst a lot more often with this weapon.

It's all thanks to the high Energy Recharge, which is surprisingly higher than Skyward Blade's. If that's not enough, then you get to have more energy whenever Albedo does CRIT damage which tends to happen often thanks to his Elemental Skill which augments attacks.

7/10 Black Sword (four-star)

  • Max Base ATK: 510
  • Secondary Stat: CRIT Rate 27.6%
  • Passive Ability Focus : Normal & Charged Attack buff & healing

When in doubt for a DPS sword user, use the Black Sword. It's a fairly expensive weapon as it requires the premium Battle Pass reward as well as completion of that reward track. It's worth it for its versatility though as it fits well with just about any sword user.

Albedo is no exception. The CRIT Rate secondary stat is actually great for his Elemental Skill and Burst. While the Skill scales off Albedo's DEF, it still relies on CRIT Rate and CRIT Damage for maximum output. Also, consider the Black Sword's healing as a cherry on top.

6/10 Blackcliff Longsword (four-star)

  • Max Base ATK : 565
  • Secondary Stat: CRIT DMG 36.8%
  • Passive Ability Focus : ATK buff

The Blackcliff Longsword is the Black Sword's broodier brother from another market partition in Genshin Impact. For many players, it's preferable since it's practically free. The Blackcliff Longsword gives out CRIT DMG, which is always the more ideal stat for a weapon since it's easy enough to stack CRIT Rate.

Like Black Sword, Blackcliff Longsword is a good match for Albedo since his Blossoms also benefit from having a high CRIT DMG modifier after the DEF scaling has been calculated. As always, you can ignore the Blackcliff Longsword's passive ability since it's quite hard to maintain especially during boss fights.

5/10 Iron Sting (four-star)

  • Max Base ATK: 510
  • Secondary Stat: Elemental Mastery 165
  • Passive Ability Focus: Elemental DMG buff

Now, on to swords that synergize the best with Albedo. The Iron Sting makes for a decent support Albedo weapon thanks to its passive ability. It stats that whenever you deal Elemental DMG (damage), this sword will buff all subsequent Elemental DMG by a considerable percentage for a short period.

Since Albedo's Blossoms frequently deal Geo damage alongside Normal and Charged Attacks, then this buff is almost always on. That is unless you forget to replace an expired Blossom. The Elemental Mastery secondary stat is not bad to have but a bit wasted on Albedo since its benefits for Geo damage are measly.

4/10 Prototype Rancour (four-star)

  • Max Base ATK: 565
  • Secondary Stat: Physical DMG Bonus 34.5%
  • Passive Ability Focus: ATK & DEF buff

Prototype Rancour is another easy weapon to obtain like Iron Sting and it's also easy to refine. It's just not that popular since the secondary stat is a little niche for most characters. For Albedo, Physical DMG Bonus isn't too bad since he will need to attack as a main DPS.

That doesn't mean Prototype Rancour is best used for that kind of Albedo. Its passive ability synergizes decently with his Blossoms as it gives out a DEF buff whenever Albedo does a Normal or Charged Attack. You can expect that buff to always stay on. Overall, it's a versatile weapon for Albedo but not the best.

3/10 Festering Desire (four-star)

  • Max Base ATK: 510
  • Secondary Stat: Energy Recharge 45.9%
  • Passive Ability Focus: Elemental Skill DMG & CRIT Rate buff

Some of you might already have this weapon and even in its R5 state since it's a weapon that was introduced alongside the Dragonspine update back in winter 2020. It remains to this day, one of the best weapons for a support Albedo, despite being a free weapon.

Festering Desire's Energy Recharge as well as the passive ability which directly buffs Albedo's Elemental Skill makes the weapon look tailor-made for him. On the off chance you still want to use him as both DPS and support, the Energy Recharge will allow for that flexibility.

2/10 Harbinger Of Dawn (three-star)

  • Max Base ATK: 401
  • Secondary Stat: CRIT DMG 46.9%
  • Passive Ability Focus: CRIT Rate buff

No one expected a three-star weapon to out-damage a four-star one that was tailor-made for Albedo but here we are. The Harbinger of Dawn is an underrated sleeping giant in a support Albedo's hands. You can ignore the low base ATK, the CRIT DMG more than makes up for it and will heavily buff Albedo's Blossom damage.

The weapon's passive is even better as it grants its wielder a good chunk of CRIT Rate as long as their HP remains above 90 percent. Since you'll be using Albedo as a Blossom support, then it's easy to keep him unscathed. Thus, this three-star weapon is even better than Festering Desire. Obtaining it is also a cakewalk - assuming you didn't destroy all of them to rank up another weapon.

1/10 Cinnabar Spindle (four-star)

  • Max Base ATK: 454
  • Secondary Stat: DEF 69.0%
  • Passive Ability Focus: Elemental Skill damage buff

We have a winner here - and a perfect gift for the re-emerging Kriedeprinz. The Cinnabar Spindle is Genshin Impact's latest sword at the time of writing and it's also tailor-made for Albedo. It gives the highest DEF stat out of all the swords in the game.

Moreover, the passive ability straight up boosts the Elemental Skill damage by 40 percent. This hefty buff occurs every 1.5 seconds. That interval is enough for Albedo's Blossoms to deal their highest damage available. The best part is that it's a free weapon available from an in-game event, along with its refinement material. Just be quick because this is likely to be a limited-time offer, since it is tied to Albedo's re-release and in-game event.
