Zhongli is a 5-star polearm-wielding Geo character in Genshin Impact. As the Archon of Geo and once-ruler of Liyue, Zhongli is an incredibly powerful asset to your team, if you're lucky enough to pull him. However, before you can unlock Zhongli's true power, you'll need to Ascend him and upgrade his talents.

Zhongli's Ascension Materials

In addition to these materials, every Genshin character requires 8,362,650 EXP to hit level 90. This can be done in a variety of ways, but here's one combination of leveling materials that'll get you there:

Zhongli's Talent Materials

The materials listed above are enough to level up one of Zhongli's talents. If you want to max out Zhongli's talents, you'll need three times this number of materials.

Where To Find Zhongli's Ascension And Talent Materials

Prithiva Topaz

Prithiva Topaz Slivers, Fragments, Chunks, and Gemstones are Ascension materials that can be acquired in a number of ways, like World Bosses, daily commissions, and through the Parametric Transformer.

The following World Bosses all have a chance to drop Prithiva Topaz materials.

  • Golden Wolflord
  • Primo Geovishap
  • Perpetual Mechanical Array
  • Ruin Serpent

  • Azhdaha
  • Andrius

Cor Lapis

You'll also need an abundance of Cor Lapis to ascend Zhongli. This special mineral can be found all over Liyue under cliffs, especially in places like Mt. Hulao, where it appears frequently. You'll need to mine it from the nodes like iron and crystal chunks.

If you'd like to purchase Cor Lapis, Changshun sells five pieces every three days. She can be found in Liyue Harbor.

Slime Condensate, Secretions, and Concentrate

Slime Condensate, Slime Secretions, and Slime Concentrate are obtained from slime enemies, which can be found almost anywhere. If you need some guidance, they can be pinpointed with the help of your Adventurer Handbook.

Basalt Pillar

The boss drop that will be used in Zhongli's ascension is the Basalt Pillar, which can be obtained by defeating the Geo Hypostasis on the Guyun Stone Forest. This boss will create Geo constructs around the arena, so be sure to bring a Geo character that can destroy them like Zhongli, Arataki Itto, Albedo, or Noelle.

Teachings, Guides, and Philosophies of Gold

For each level of Zhongli's talents, you'll need Teachings, Guides, or Philosophies of Gold. These materials can be obtained from the Taishan Mansion Domain on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Obtaining rewards after completing the Domain challenge costs 20 Original Resin.

Tusk of Monoceros Caeli

The Tusk of Monoceros Caeli is a boss drop from Childe's weekly boss fight in the Golden House. You can also convert Shard of Foul Legacy or Shadow of the Warrior (also obtained by defeating Childe) into Tusk of Monoceros Caeli using Dream Solvent at an alchemy station.

Crown of Insight

Lastly, Crowns of Insight are mainly found during special limited-time events. However, you can earn a few by making offerings to the Frostbearing Tree on Dragonspine, the Sacred Sakura in Inazuma, the Lumenstone Adjuvant in the Chasm, or the Tree of Dreams in Sumeru.
