The fantasy MMORPG Final Fantasy 14 offers the possibility of fulfilling your potion-mixing fantasies. If you decide to become an Alchemist, you will be crafting high-quality consumables for all of Hydaelyn's delight.

But don't be fooled by the fancy robes and shiny alembics, becoming la crème de la crème in Alchemy does not happen overnight. And no, there is no consumable to instantly level up to 90 we are afraid. However, if you just follow our carefully mixed-up guide with recipe and gearing lists, getting to level 90 will be nothing but a cakewalk.

Leveling To 21: Alchemy 101

Give your character a Boiled Egg to receive a three percent EXP bonus.

The first step is to go to the Alchemist Guild in Ul'dah. Speak to Deitrich (X:9, Y:13) and complete the quest' Way of the Alchemist'. By the time you equip your primary tool, you will have unlocked the Alchemy job. Let the potion cooking begin.

The table below has the quests required for progression in the Alchemist quest line. To level up, simply make the items in the Crafting Log - you get a large bonus to EXP the first time you make a particular recipe, so making one of everything is a great way to level up.

Leveling To 50: Research In Potion

At this point, you will be able to use Quick Synthesis, an ability that allows you to craft in bulk. Make sure you use this wisely.

Now that your CP bar looks good, let's get to the leveling bit. Enter the Quicksand and speak to Eustace (X:12.1, Y:9.1), the Levemete. Grab the following quests:

As the name suggests, triple turn-in quests allow you to hand in your deliverables three times. This also means you get three times each quests' EXP, so look out for those. Don't try to hand them in until you have three times the required hand ins.

Leveling To 63: Mixing Is My Business... And Business Is Good!

For this next section, we will travel to Foundation. Before meeting your new leveling best friend, stock up on the following gear:
