Haukke Manor (Hard) has a few similarities with its original version, but will present some new and difficult mechanics. Let's take a look at each boss you'll face in this dungeon, their attacks and mechanics, and how to beat them.

How To Unlock Haukke Manor (Hard)

Haukke Manor (Hard) can be unlocked through the following side quest.

  • Accept the quest 'Maniac Manor'
    • NPC Location: Lauriane - Mor Dhona (X:22.1, Y:8.6)

This quest will be available after reaching level 50 and completing the Main Scenario Quest 'The Ultimate Weapon'.

Dungeon Walkthrough

In the first section of Haukke Manor, you'll be entering different rooms, killing the enemies inside, looting the Tiny Key they drop, then using that key to unlock the next door. Unlike the normal version of Haukke Manor, you won't have any Tiny Keys left over, so be sure to pick up every single one.

After the first boss, you'll enter a long hallway with Void lights that periodically flash, dealing damage in a line across the hallway. Additionally, locked doors along the hallway will open as you run past them, revealing groups of enemies. If your Tank and Healer can handle it, run to the opposite side of the hallway, dragging along each group of enemies. Then, in the area absent of Void lights, kill the enemies before repeating this process for the next segment of the hallway.

Manor Jester

The first boss of Haukke Manor (Hard) is the Manor Jester, whose attacks and mechanics are listed below.

  • Manor Butler: These enemies will be summoned throughout the fight. The Tank should group up these enemies so the DPS players can easily kill them. The Manor Butlers don't have any unique attacks of their own, but they will leave their skeleton behind when they die, which will be used by the boss through the following mechanic.
    • Periodically, the Manor Jester will create a purple Void AoE near a group of skeletons, which will resurrect them. If enough skeletons are piled in the same spot, they will merge into the Manor Steward, who will attack with Nether Burst. This attack deals high damage to all party members.
    • To avoid summoning the Steward, try to spread out where you kill the Butlers.
  • Void Blizzard: The Manor Jester will deal damage and inflict the Slow debuff on a random player.
  • Void Blizzard III: The Manor Jester will deal damage in a circular AoE around a targeted player. The targeted player should spread out from others.
  • Icefall: The Manor Jester will create an ice puddle on the ground that deals damage and inflicts the Frostbite debuff, dealing damage over time. This puddle persists for a while, and players should avoid walking in it while avoiding other mechanics.

The Manor Jester will repeat these attacks until it is defeated. Watch out for the Icefall puddles, and be careful not to enable the boss to summon the Manor Steward.

Ash

The second boss of Haukke Manor (Hard) is Ash. This boss will use a variety of AoE attacks, detailed below.

  • Abyssal Swing: Ash will deal instant damage in a cleave attack to its front. The Tank should face the boss away from the rest of the party to avoid hitting them with this attack.
  • Tenebrous Missile: Ash will target a random player, dealing damage to them and summoning a spinning Death Scythe on their location. The Death Scythe will deal persistent damage, then inflict Paralysis with its final spin. Quickly move away from the Scythe when it appears.
  • Prime Guillotine: Ash will prepare a series of line AoEs that appear in different patterns around the arena, dealing damage and inflicting Silence. As the fight progresses, these will form into different patterns, so be ready to dodge each iteration of these line AoEs when they appear.
  • Abyssal Charge: Ash will move to the center of the arena before creating several Spears that launch outward in random directions, dealing damage. Watch where the AoE indicators appear and move accordingly to dodge them.
  • Abyssal Transfixion: Ash will damage and inflict Paralysis on a player. The Healer can remove this debuff using Esuna.
  • Taurus Minion: Ash will create a Void Portal, then summon a Taurus Minion from it. While the Taurus Minion is active, the Void Portal will remain open, and will continuously cast Void Miasma, dealing damage to random players. Destroy the Taurus Minion to close the portal.

Ash will repeat these attacks until it is defeated. Carefully avoid each AoE when it appears, and quickly kill the Taurus Minions when they are summoned.

Halicarnassus

The final boss of Haukke Manor (Hard) is Halicarnassus. This boss's attacks and mechanics are detailed below.

  • Void Fire II: Halicarnassus will target a random player with a circle AoE, dealing damage in the area. Move out of the AoE indicator to avoid this attack.
    • Void Fire IV: Later in the fight, Halicarnassus will use Void Fire IV, which is a larger version of Void Fire II. Avoid this attack in the same way.
  • Void Thunder III: Halicarnassus will deal damage to the Tank. Use defensive cooldowns to mitigate this damage as necessary.
    • Void Thunder IV: Later in the fight, the boss will use Void Thunder IV, dealing more damage to the Tank. Again, use defensive cooldowns as necessary.
  • Dark Mist: Halicarnassus will deal damage and inflict Fear in a circle AoE around herself. Fear will prevent you from taking any action, freezing you in place. Quickly move outside the AoE indicator to avoid this attack.
  • Fatal Allure: Throughout the fight, Halicarnassus will summon different enemies to the arena. After a while, she will cast Fatal Allure on them, dragging the enemy towards her before instantly killing it, absorbing its remaining HP. Then, she will cast Blood Rain, dealing damage to all party members that increases with the amount of health the enemy had remaining. Additionally, Halicarnassus will gain a buff depending on which enemy she killed. To reduce the damage of Blood Rain, kill the enemy before Halicarnassus casts Fatal Allure.
    • Manor Sentry: This enemy will apply the Stoneskin buff to the boss, negating a set amount of damage. The Manor Sentry will grant the boss immunity to Stun and Silence effects when it is killed by Fatal Allure.
    • Manor Maidservant: Halicarnassus will summon two of these at once. These enemies will cast Void Fire III, which is similar to Halicarnassus's Void Fire II and IV. The Manor Maidservant will grant the boss a damage-up buff.
    • Lady Amandine: The final boss from the normal version of Haukke Manor will be summoned, and will cast Void Thunder III and Dark Mist. Both of these attacks are the same as the versions Halicarnassus uses. When killed, Lady Amandine will grant Halicarnassus a Haste buff, reducing attack delay.
  • Beguiling Mist: After all three waves of adds have been killed, Halicarnassus will cast Beguiling Mist three times. This attack will inflict Seduce on all players, forcing them to move toward the boss. Then, she will cast Void Fire IV on a random party member. To avoid this combo, spread out to opposite corners of the arena before Beguiling Mist is finished casting to ensure you won't overlap Fire IV with other players.
    • After Halicarnassus has cast Beguiling Mist three times, she will cast Fatal Allure again, this time without summoning an enemy first. Fatal Allure will target a random player and pull them in, instantly killing them and absorbing their HP. Then, like before, she will cast Blood Rain, this time dealing lethal damage to all players. Kill the boss before this happens to avoid wiping.

If you haven't killed Halicarnassus before she uses Fatal Allure on a player, you'll have to start over. Be sure to kill each add when they are summoned to reduce the damage of Blood Rain, and keep the pressure on the boss at all times to kill her before she kills you.
