Some Final Fantasy 14 zones burst with life. Others are devoid of it. Yanxia feels like a bit of both, at least when the party first arrives there in Stormblood — there are people here, planting rice, practicing craftwork, living their lives as anyone else might, but they're spiritually hollow. Not in some high-fantasy, swords-and-sorcery sense; just... hollow.

All the better reason, then, to find Yanxia's aether currents and gain flight as quickly as you can. The swifter you ride, the better your odds of besting this haggard civilization's cruel captors. And there's good news on that front! Thanks to the launch of Endwalker, there are now four field-based currents rather than what had previously been ten. Combine that with the five quest-based currents, and there's nine in all.

Here they are, in all their melancholy glory.
