In northwestern Kholusia, Final Fantasy 14 players can visit the dwarf village of Tomra. Like most Final Fantasy dwarves, the people here use a distinct greeting; "Lali-Ho!" By helping out around Tomra, you'll be able to add the classic catchphrase to your available emotes.

Learning to Lali-Ho requires several quests to be completed before it is available. Read on to learn just what you need to do to release your inner dwarf!

Meet The Tholls

Xamott, leader of Tomra Village in Final Fantasy XIV

After you've completed the quest called 'A Gigantic Undertaking' as part of the main Shadowbringers storyline, Tristol will be waiting at The Wet Whistle in Kholusia at (X:19, Y:17.6). Speak with him there to begin the Meet The Tholls quest, which will introduce you to the dwarves of Tomra. Next, speak with the Crystal Exarch, who should also be at the Wet Whistle. Once you've done so, head to the northwestern area of Kholusia to reach Tomra.

In Tomra you'll meet the village leader, a dwarf named Xamott, who will send you to talk to a dwarf observer nearby. The observer will put you through a series of trials wherein you must use your slingshot to shoot dwarves wearing out-of-place helmets. Once both trials are complete, return to Xamott to unlock the next quest in the chain.

A Disagreeable Dwarf

One of Final Fantasy XIV's dwarves

Once 'Meet The Tholls' is completed, your next visit should be a dwarf named Beott at (X:12.4, Y:9.2) to begin 'A Disagreeable Dwarf'. She asks you to befriend her grouchy son Ronitt. As it turns out, Ronitt misplaced Watts's Hammer, a treasured family heirloom. You'll need to ask the dwarves around town to locate the item; specifically, an affable townsdwarf followed by a timid townsdwarf. Once you've spoken to both you'll receive Watts's Hammer. Bring it to Ronitt for your reward.

Almost A Friend

Ronitt can be found at (X:13.5, Y:8.3) and he is still something of a prickly pear, but if you speak to him after finding the lost hammer he will show you an automaton he built. Afterward, he asks you to deliver a bucket of cobalt coal to Xemutt (not to be confused with Xamott, whom you've already met). Bring her the coal and follow her instructions, then return to Ronitt to continue the quest chain.

A Practiced Greeting

A Talos in Final Fantasy XIV

Speak to Ronitt at (X:13.5, Y:8.3) to begin this quest. Now that you've gotten Ronitt to open up a little, he decides to sharpen his social skills by giving the traditional dwarven greeting to a nearby Talos. It doesn't go well, and you'll need to defeat the Talos in combat. Afterward, speak to Ronitt. He's pretty down on himself after the disastrous encounter, so cheer him up by typing "/rally Ronitt".

Learning To Lali-Ho

Accept the final quest at (X:11, Y:11.9) from Ronitt, and once you've rallied his spirits, he will travel around Tomra practicing his Lali-Ho. Go with him and speak with him after each stop he makes. Once you've done so four times, the quest will be completed and you will be able to Lali-Ho like a true dwarf!
