The last expansion of the Hydaelyn and Zodiark arc in Final Fantasy 14 is here with Endwalker, offering many new activities, emotional moments, and even new Jobs to take on if you're looking to mix things up. Additionally, there will be many other things available for you to do, such as new Dungeons, Raids, and ways to power level Jobs you may be diving into for the first time.

Endwalker has also expanded upon systems implemented in previous expansions, such as Shadowbringer's Bicolor Gemstones. A currency rewarded to players for participating in specific Shared FATEs, allowing them to purchase exclusive items from Gemstone Traders found in regions in both Shadowbringers and Endwalker.

The Basics

As touched on above, Bicolor Gemstones is a currency you get by participating in specific Shared FATEs, which you can then turn into a Gemstone Trader for exclusive items. However, in Endwalkers case, you can turn 100 Bicolor Gemstones in for a Bicolor Gemstone Voucher, which can then get handed in for some pretty sick rewards.

There is one catch. Unfortunately, there are only two items you can obtain via Bicolor Gemstone Vouchers, each of them costing an outrageous price of 500 Bicolor Gemstone Vouchers. Or, to put it into perspective, 50,000 Gemstones for one, and 100,000 Gemstones for both. So, if you're looking to get both of these items, be prepared to farm many, many Shared FATEs. Or, if you're made of money, you can purchase the Vouchers from the Market Board for a pretty penny.

Shared FATEs

To find each area's Shared FATEs, open the main menu, head to the "Travel" tab, and select the "Shared FATE" option. Once you're in the Shared Fate menu, you will see each region's FATEs and your current completion/rank within them.

You will not be able to access specific Shared FATEs until you increase each region's FATE Rank, which can take a bit of time. Rank 1 is rewarded to you for completing a single FATE, with Rank 2 having you finish six, and Rank 3 needed a whopping 60 FATEs fulfilled to obtain.

Endwalker Shared FATE Locations

The following locations are the six default Shared FATE areas in Endwalker. You will need to level each area's FATE Rank to level 3 - 360 FATEs across all regions completed - to access the last three locations.

  • Thavnair
  • Labyrinthos
  • Garlemald
  • Mare Lamentorum
  • Elpis
  • Ultima Thule

To gain access to the following three areas, you must complete 60 FATEs in the six regions listed above, reaching Rank 3 in all of them. This equals out to 360 total FATEs completed before you can access the Shared Fates in these regions.

  • Old Sharlayan
  • Radz-at-Han
  • Mor Dhona

How To Obtain Vouchers

After farming Shared FATEs for Bicolor Gemstones, you will have to trade them with specific vendors to obtain Bicolor Gemstone Vouchers. You will need 100 Bicolor Gemstones to get one Voucher, so it may be wise to stock up on many Gemstones before turning them in.

Below are the vendors who trade Vouchers for Bicolor Gemstones. Once you have the number of Gemstones you want/need, head over to one of these traders to obtain your Bicolor Gemstone Vouchers.

Vendor Location/Coordinates Item Cost
Gadfrid Old Sharlayan (12.7, 10.4) Bicolor Gemstone Voucher x100 Bicolor Gemstones
Sajareen Radz-at-Han (11.1, 10.2) Bicolor Gemstone Voucher x100 Bicolor Gemstones

Bicolor Gemstone Voucher Items

After saving up 500 Bicolor Gemstone Vouchers, you can finally purchase one of the two items available from the Luxury Trader, Edelina, found in Mor Dhona. You will need a total of 1,000 Bicolor Gemstone Vouchers to obtain both items she's selling, which will run you 100,000 Bicolor Gemstones total.

If you are looking to grind out just one of these items, it will take you roughly 3,600 FATEs total, or 7,200 FATEs for both. We strongly recommend grinding FATEs and purchasing some Bicolor Gemstone Vouchers from the Market Board to help speed the process up. If you cannot afford the prices, you will be looking at many hours of FATE grinding.

Bicolor Gemstone Voucher Exchange

Item Item Type Description Cost Vendor Location/Coordinates
Fallen Angel Wings Fashion Accessory Jet black wings of a fallen angel, perfect for anyone looking for edgier cosmetics. 500 Bicolor Gemstone Vouchers (50,000 Bicolor Gemstones) Edelina Mor Dhona (22.1, 4.9)
Wivre Horn Mount Acquisition Blowing the horn emits a deep, booming sound, calling upon the Wivre. 500 Bicolor Gemstone Vouchers (50,000 Bicolor Gemstones) Edelina Mor Dhona (22.1, 4.9)

While this will take quite some time to complete, both items are incredibly unique, and worth the grind if you want something few people will have. The Wivre mount, in particular, is an excellent reward as it is a wholly original mount and not a reskin. But, as with most things, it's ultimately up to you if you deem these items worth the time and effort.
