There are many ways to spend your time in Final Fantasy 14, with a large focus on preparing for the post-MSQ content, such as raids and trials. However, one of the most essential things in the game is completing activities that reset daily, allowing you to earn Tomestones, Gil, EXP, and much more.

While you don't necessarily have to do the daily activities in Final Fantasy 14, you absolutely should if you want to level secondary Jobs or need another method of obtaining Allagan Tomestone of Astronomy to earn that sweet Radiant Equipment introduced with Endwalker. Dailies are an excellent way to spend a few hours of your time in the game and provide rewards worth your efforts.

Updated June 28, 2022, by Seth Parmer: With Patch 6.15 out, we decided to touch up this list to update the Beast Tribe Quests, add a new entry for Gardening, and touch up the others if they needed it. There are many excellent Daily Activities to take part in to earn Gil, Tomestones, and other goodies that should keep you busy for quite some time!

11/11 Retainers

Managing your Retainers is an easy way to earn passive Gil, obtain rare items, and get Grand Company Seals. If you are playing for an extended period of time, send your Retainers out on hourly Explorations instead of the massive 18-hour one. Then, before you clock out for the night, send them on the 18-hour Exploration to maximize their usage.

For a more in-depth look at Retainers, check our guide out on them here! But, the gist of it is you can use your Retainers to earn lots of Gil or Grand Company Seals by either selling the rare items they bring back on the Market Board or by trading in the junk they get you into your Grand Company Personnel Officer for Seals. Doing this daily will have you swimming in Seals, Ventures, and hopefully Gil!

10/11 Beast Tribe Quests

An excellent way to earn Gil, EXP, and Beast Tribe Reputation Points is by doing your 12 Beast Tribe Quests a day. Additionally, you will also have a chance to receive items, Allagan Tomestones, and Ventures for completing these quests.

Furthermore, increasing your Beast Tribe Reputation will unlock vendors, where you can purchase unique Minions, Mounts, furnishing, and other items. You are limited to three quests per Beast Tribe daily but can earn lots of Gil and EXP if you go out of your way to complete these each day.

Lastly, with the recent release of Patch 6.15, Endwalker now has Beast Tribe Quests that you can tackle daily for unique rewards, such as the Wind-up Arkasodara Minion and the Hippo Cart Mount. To learn more about Endwalker's Arkasodara Tribe Quests, please check out our complete guide and walkthrough here!

9/11 Daily Hunts

Daily Hunts are an excellent way to earn experience and unique rewards. By completing Shadowbringers and Endwalker Hunts, you will receive Sacks of Nuts, which you can exchange for high-level Materia, a Minion, and more. The Vendors are J'lakshai in Old Sharlayan (X:12.0, Y:13.3) and Wilmetta in Radz-at-Han (X:10.5, Y:7.5).

There is also a chance of spawning in S to S+ Hunt Marks, which will have a much larger payout in EXP and Sacks of Nuts. Going back and doing older Hunts will reward you with Allied Seals or Centurio Seals, which can also be exchanged for unique items. Additionally, Endwalker Hunts will also reward you with Allagan Tomestone of Aphorism and Astronomy, making it worth your while.

8/11 Gathering Treasure Maps

If you have the means to Gather Treasure Maps in Final Fantasy 14, you should take advantage of that and gather one every day, even if you aren't planning on using it. You can only Gather one map a day but can use it to either find the treasure or sell it on the Market Board.

If you are uninterested in participating in the Treasure Maps, you should gather one per day and sell it on the Market Board. The pre-Endwalker Treasure Maps are currently selling for a higher price, and you can still obtain them by heading to Stormblood, Heavensward, and Shadowbringers areas. Additionally, if you want to participate in the Treasure Map, you can get some pretty unique rewards for doing so!

7/11 Grand Company Supply and Provisioning Missions

Even if you have yet to dip your toe into Crafting or Gathering in Final Fantasy 14, you should still be doing the daily Supply and Provisioning missions for your Grand Company. Not only is this an excellent way to earn Grand Company Seals, but you will earn experience points for Crafting and Gathering classes, passively leveling them up without even using them.

Supply and Provisioning Missions have you turn in materials or items to your Grand Company Personnel Officer, which you obtain by either Gathering or Crafting or can purchase from the Market Board. Each day, there will be a specific set of requested materials and items you can view by going to Duty > Timers > Next Mission Allowance. If you see an item with a star next to it, you will earn more EXP and Grand Company Seals if you turn it in. If you cannot Craft or Gather these items, simply search for them and purchase them if they aren't too expensive. Skip the expensive ones, return the next day, and repeat!

6/11 Daily Squadron Missions

A command mission squadron in Final Fantasy 14

If you have yet to participate in your Grand Company Squadron Missions, you may want to change that whenever you get the chance. Not only are the Daily Squadron Missions an excellent way to earn Gil, but you can also earn Materia, Crafter & Gatherer Scripts, and Free Company Buffs.

While Squadrons may seem like a chore to many people, adding fifteen minutes to your Food Buff or decreasing the rate at which your equipment degrades by thirty percent are great benefits, and there's much more. Squadrons are an easy and quick method to earn valuable stuff in the game.

5/11 Shared FATE Farming

While not necessarily a "Daily Activity" from a technical standpoint, you should be farming FATEs every day to complete your Shared FATE Log. Go to Travel> Shared FATE to view your current progress on Shared FATEs. This menu will show you how many FATEs you need to progress to the next tier.

Shared FATEs are an excellent way to earn experience and Bicolor Gemstones. You can then trade in Bicolor Gemstones for Bicolor Gemstone Vouchers, which can be used to purchase unique items or can sell on the Market Board for a high price. However, you will need to complete a lot of FATEs before you can do this method, which is why we recommend chipping away at it daily.

4/11 Gardening

For many, Gardening is a side activity that isn't all that essential in the grand scheme of things, while others are making it their entire personality and focus, as they can make a literal fortune off harvesting and selling Thavnairian Onions. If you choose to go down the path of Gardening, there are a few things you must know first. For starters, you will either need to own property via the Player Housing system in the game or will need to have your own room in an apartment.

Once you have your own property, whether a plot of land or an apartment, you can begin planting a wide variety of things you can use for crafting, selling, and more! Some plants must be tended to daily as they will wilt and become unsalvagable. However, some plants will only take a day to grow, meaning you can check back the next day and harvest the goods without worrying about them dying on you. Still, if you have the means, we suggest dipping your toes into Gardening as you can grow some incredible things that can make you lots of Gil or allow you to craft valuable recipes or items.

If you have a room in an apartment, you will not be able to crossbreed plants and can only plant two things in your room. To take full advantage of Final Fantasy 14's Gardening, you must own a plot of land.

3/11 Wondrous Tails Journal

In a similar vein as the Shared FATE entry, you should check on your Wondrous Tails Journal every day. This will allow you to reset challenges before diving into your Daily Roulette to earn quick Seals and will allow you to map out some of your tasks if you're close to completing the Journal.

Wondrous Tails is one of the best ways to earn a boatload of experience by simply doing daily activities. While the event itself is technically a weekly ordeal, you will want to check on it daily and incorporate it into your daily activities.

2/11 Mini Cactpot

Need a break from all the farming, grinding, and boring activities? Head to the Gold Saucer to liven your spirits and take a chance on the daily Mini Cactpot! The Mini Cactpot resets every day at 10 AM EST / 7 AM PST and is a fun little thing to incorporate into your daily routine.

The Mini Cactpot essentially has you spend your Manderville Gold Saucer Points (MGP) for a chance of winning a larger amount in return. Each Mini Cactpot Ticket costs 10 MGP and is similar to a scratch-off lottery ticket.

1/11 Daily Roulettes

While the most obvious activity to do daily, the Daily Roulettes are one of the best ways to earn lots of Gil, experience, and Allagan Tomestone of Aphorism and Astronomy. You won't have to complete every Daily Roulette, but doing a handful of the ones you find enjoyable or need to do should take priority.

Remember to incorporate your Wondrous Tails Journal into your Daily Roulettes to complete it faster and earn tons of experience. Some of you may find the Daily Roulettes to be a slog, but they are worth the effort and an easy way to make lots of Gil at the very least.
