Cult Of The Lamb tasks you with hunting down Bishops, but actually getting to these “Old Faith” leaders is trickier than you might expect. Not only do you have to manage a cult, pick up an ungodly amount of poop and perpetually be on cooking duty - but you also need to kill each Bishop’s lackeys.

Each Bishop has three lackeys, but if you’ve gotten this far, you know that already. Anchordeep is no different, with Haborym, Saleos, and Baalzebub all chipping in to take a swing at your crowned dome. This is how they intend to kill you, how to avoid that unfortunate happening, and how to kill them right back.

As is always, defeating these bosses will convert them into handy-dandy followers for your cult. Get those beds ready.

First Boss - Haborym

Haborym is your first target. This thing is all about overwhelming you with deadly minions, although, this also just so happens to be his greatest weakness. When they are not teleporting around and summoning hordes of jellyfish, Haborym is laying down a pretty impressive torrent of projectiles for you to slip between.

Attack Explanation Counter
5-Star Projectile This is Haborym’s most basic attack. They simply fire off 5 projectiles in a star pattern. This attack not only moves slowly but there are large gaps between each projectile. Simply move between them and attack.
Spiral Projectiles Haborym launches a spiralling ring of projectiles. This one is a bit trickier to avoid, as dodging through it will lead to you rolling into more projectiles. Take your time and wind your way around the bullet maze.
Summon Minions Easily Haborym’s signature attack. Haborym summons a mixture of horned and exploding Jellyfish. You can simply hit them with your weapon to kill them, however, when it comes to Exploding Jellyfish, they get launched when hit and explode after making contact with something - this includes other minions and Haborym. Try and lob Haborym’s minions back at it to deal bonus damage.
Teleport Not an attack, more of an annoyance. Haborym will teleport around the arena forcing you to reposition and chase it. You can’t counter this - just keep following Haborym. Just be careful not to run into one of his attacks in your haste to catch up.

Second Boss - Saleos

Saleos, despite being the second boss in the string of three, is arguably the easiest to deal with. Saleos has a basic attack pattern, doesn’t really have any gimmicks, and largely uses moves you have seen many times before. This makes Saleos a bit of a pushover and an easy win.

Attack Explanation Counter
Summon Minions Like with Haborym, Saleos can summon minions. These minions are much tougher than Haborym’s, however, and take two-three hits to take out. They will charge toward you and protrude spikes to deal damage. These minions are fairly slow, and not that much of an issue. We recommend taking them out if they are proving to be troublesome, but you could also simply ignore them and rush down Saleos.
Charge This is Saleos’ main form of mobility and attack. Saleos charges at you and then deploys spikes to expand its hitbox. This attack is very deceptive, and it will likely hit you a few times before you get the hang of its hitbox. Those spikes make this much harder to dodge - but not impossible.
Spike Line Projectile Saleos’ only other attack. Saleos fires a line of spikes that erupt from the ground that travel approximately half the length of the arena. Walk to the side, and you will avoid them. This attack is only dangerous at point blank range.

Third Boss - Baalzebub

The final boss of Anchordeep’s ‘Big Three’. Baalzebub can be quite the tricky customer as they love to shoot projectiles - and they’ll do it until you, or they, are dead. This fight requires careful movements to overcome as it is very easy to lose track of a wayward ball and get clocked for your error.

Attack Explanation Counter
8-Star Projectile Baalzebub fires off 8 projectiles in a circle formation around Baalzebub. This is similar to Haborym’s - only much harder to dodge. That doesn’t make it difficult, however, simply dodge roll through it and attack.
Projectile Clouds This is Baalzebub’s strongest attack. Baalzebub fires off three clouds of projectiles in a slow-moving cluster. These clouds then burst into 4 projectiles that spread out slowly. There is no trick to this - simply keep an eye on the projectiles and roll/walk through when it’s safe to do so. We would advise waiting until the clouds burst before attempting this.
Projectile Bursts Baalzebub fires off 4 waves of 4 projectiles in a line pattern. This attack has enough of a gap (and moves slowly enough) to simply walk to safety between each wave. Do not roll forward through the lines as you will likely find yourself rolling into more projectiles.
