We all have our favourite bosses, whether it's the commonly found Night's Cavalry in their jet black armour or the cute and tragic Red Wolf of Radagon, but Elden Ring creative director Hidetaka Miyazaki has finally revealed his own pick—Radahn. It might be one of the most infamous of the bunch, but at least it isn't Malenia, eh?

"He is fascinating as a character, and I also like the circumstances of the Radahn Festival," Miyazaki told Xbox Wire Japan. "I wonder if there is a feeling of loneliness that is unique to us, as well as a literally festive and uplifting feeling. When I first talked about the idea of [the] Radahn Festival... no one on the team took it seriously."

Miyazaki then said that the runner-ups are Godrick the Grafted and Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy. So the big arm-ridden monster with a dragon head for a hand and the god-devouring serpent—sounds like Miyazaki. All three are notorious among Elden Ring fans—Godrick is especially notorious among beginners, being the first of the toughies that you have to fight. He guards Stormveil Castle and his own Great Rune, opening up the gate to the wider world of Elden Ring, while Radahn is the final foe of Caelid. We all know Caelid.

If you don't know about the Radahn Festival and haven't reached that point yet, it's a boss where all the NPCs you've met gather to help take him down. They're getting merry in the courtyard, passing war stories about their time in the Lands Between, while you can find their summon signs strewn across the battleground.

You can summon Blaidd, Patches, the big pot man, and all manner of friends and foes, taking him on in one big epic charge with the games' most beloved and loathed characters. It's a celebration of Elden Ring and jolly co-operation, if not a bit difficult.
