Introduced in Forsaken, Destiny 2's Dredgen title is one of the easiest titles to earn. Tied to Gambit, Guardians will have to demonstrate mastery over defeating PvE enemies, invading other Guardians, and banking Motes.

A few changes have been made to this title since it was released in Forsaken. Players no longer have to obtain the Gambit badge to earn this title, yet some of the Triumphs tied to Dredgen are rather time-consuming or downright frustrating to complete. Fortunately, most of these Triumphs can be completed with a few niche strategies and builds. Here is a complete guide to earning Destiny 2's Dredgen title.

Note: This guide will not go over gilding the Dredgen title. We have a separate guide that covers how to do this.

High-Value Hawk

High-Value Hawk: Defeat high-value targets (such as wanted enemies) from all enemy species.

While it doesn't outright state it, these HVT kills must be in Gambit. A high-value target is an Elite miniboss that'll spawn partway through a Gambit match, usually as a catch-up mechanic. You must damage the enemy to receive credit.

You'll need to kill an HVT from each faction. That includes:

  • Cabal
  • Fallen
  • Hive
  • Scorn
  • Vex

Only one HVT needs to be eliminated from each enemy race to complete this Triumph.

Light Versus Light

Light Versus Light: Defeat an opponent in Gambit while their Super is active.

You must defeat 10 Guardians that are in their Super to complete this Triumph. Since most players hold on to their Super until the Primeval spawns, this can be extremely tricky to accomplish once, let alone ten times.

The Drifter will periodically sell a daily bounty that requires Invaders to use their Super to kill Guardians. Whenever this is the daily bounty, hop into Gambit to get this Triumph done. Otherwise, the probability of fighting a Guardian in their Super is extremely slim. This is easily the most annoying part of earning the Dredgen title, so consider focusing on other Triumphs in the meantime.

Gambit For All Seasons

Gambit for All Seasons: Win Gambit matches against all combatant races.

Similar to High-Value Hawk, Gambit for All Seasons tasks you with completing a Gambit match against every type of enemy race. To recap, you can face the following enemy races in Gambit:

  • Cabal
  • Fallen
  • Hive
  • Scorn
  • Vex

Win a Gambit game against each race to complete this Triumph. This will boil down to playtime and luck.

Dark Age Arsenal

Dark Age Arsenal: Win a Gambit match with a Gambit weapon equipped in every slot.

With Beyond Light sunsetting most of Gambit's loot, Dark Age Arsenal is a much more restrictive Triumph than it once was. Fortunately, most Gambit weapons in the game are rather strong.

The following weapons contribute towards this Triumph:

  • Kinetic: Lonesome, Night Watch
  • Energy: Bottom Dollar, Gnawing Hunger, Trinary System
  • Power: Bad Omens, Crowd Pleaser

You can complete this Triumph by swapping to any of these weapons at the end of a Gambit game. Right before the Primeval dies, swap to a Gambit weapon in each slot. When the game ends, you'll receive the Dark Age Arsenal Triumph despite not using those weapons for most of the game.

Prestige

Prestige: Reset your Infamy rank in Gambit.

Resetting your Infamy rank requires you to earn 15,000 Infamy points in the Gambit playlist. Earning Infamy can take ages, so it's best to complete as many daily bounties as possible to speed this up. Maintaining Win Streaks also provides a healthy amount of bonus Infamy each game.

When you reach 15,000 Infamy, speak to the Drifter in the Tower. Claiming the final reward (Ascendant Shard or Exotic Engram) from his offerings will reset your Infamy rank.

Army Of One

Army of One: As an invader, defeat four opposing Guardians in a single invasion.

Three Army of One medals are required to complete this Triumph, meaning you'll need to wipe the enemy team as an Invader three separate times. That sounds difficult on paper, but this is surprisingly easy to pull off in practice.

Before you enter the invasion portal, grab any Heavy ammo you can. Bring the Truth Exotic Rocket Launcher and a highly lethal Super (Chaos Reach, Golden Gun, Glacial Quake, et cetera). You'll have Truesight for the entire time you're invading, allowing you to land Truth rockets and Sniper Rifle rounds with ease. If you run out of ammo, feel free to use your Super. Invade as often as possible.

Half-Banked

Half-Banked: Deposit at least half your bank's capacity in a single round.

The Half-Banked Triumph requires you to bank 50 Motes in five separate Gambit matches. Doing this in a matchmade lobby can be frustrating, so it is highly recommended that you find a team before attempting this. If you can't, bring a loadout that kills enemies faster than the rest of your team.

Trinity Ghoul and Warmind Cells trivialize the PvE portion of Gambit. Any build that utilizes either mechanic will let you wipe entire waves of Gambit enemies singlehandedly, allowing you to easily grab 15 Motes to bank. Do this three times, then grab five spare Motes to get this medal. Repeat that process four more times to get the Triumph.

Thrillmonger

Thrillmonger: Defeat 40 enemies in a single match without dying.

Once again, use Trinity Ghoul or Warmind Cells for this challenge. Warmind Cells are especially encouraged due to their absurd damage output and area of effect.

Use any weapon that can spawn Warmind Cells, then equip the following mods:

  1. Global Reach: This makes Warmind Cells cover a larger radius.
  2. Wrath of Rasputin: All Solar splash damage can spawn Warmind Cells. If you don't have a good Seventh Seraph or IKELOS weapon, rock Sunshot or Ticuu's Divination.
  3. Rage of the Warmind: Warmind Cells deal Solar damage. With Wrath of Rasputin, your Warmind Cells spawn Warmind Cells.

The last two Combat Style mods can be whatever you please. Grasp of the Warmind is a good choice if you want to move spare Warmind Cells between areas. Otherwise, run whatever spare mods you prefer. With this mod setup, you'll be generating so many Warmind Cells that you'll be killing 40 enemies every life without trying.

Players that don't have Warmind Cell mods can use Trinity Ghoul, Riskrunner, or Huckleberry to become an add-slaying machine. Use the Protective Light mod to make sure you don't die in the middle of a gunfight.

Protect The Runner

Protect the Runner: As a fireteam, win a Gambit match where a single player deposits 75 Motes, never losing any.

Get a fireteam together for this one. Designate one person as the Mote collector, and have that person deposit all of the Motes your team creates. If you can't get a group together, run a build that can clear enemy waves quickly. Trinity Ghoul, Huckleberry, and Warmind Cells are great options.

Aim To Misbehave

Aim to Misbehave: Acquired the weapon Malfeasance.

Earning Malfeasance hasn't changed since Forsaken released. Players will have to kill an Ascended Primeval Servitor to start the quest. This enemy has a small chance of spawning as the Primeval in a Gambit match. Once slain, talk to the Drifter to receive the Malfeasance quest.

The quest is mostly straightforward, tasking you with defeating Taken bosses and completing a unique variant of the Corrupted strike. Consider farming the Blind Well in the Dreaming City to get the Taken objective done quickly. Complete the quest to earn the weapon and this Triumph.
