Destiny 2 has a myriad of titles for dedicated titles to chase. From seasonal titles to more hardcore pursuits, players of all skill levels can earn a title if they set their sights on one. Most would consider raid titles rather skill-intensive to earn, although Fatebreaker is an exception to this rule.

Besides maybe Descendant, Fatebreaker is the easiest raid title to earn in Destiny 2. It doesn't require a flawless run, and most of the Vault of Glass' challenges are fairly easy to complete. If you love the Vault of Glass or want an impressive title to display under your name, Fatebreaker is a great title to earn.

Updated August 21st, 2021, by Charles Burgar: Master VoG has been released since we originally wrote this article, hence it needed an update. We've updated this guide with some tips on how to complete each challenge on Master difficulty, and we give a brief explanation of what you can expect from the Master variant. A table of contents and jump links have also been added to make this article much easier to navigate. Good luck.

Vault Of Glass Badge

The Vault of Glass has 15 items that you'll need to obtain to complete the raid's respective badge. Most of the items are weapons and armor pieces that are obtained from VoG's various encounters, although there are a few vanity items in this badge that are tied to collectibles or a challenge.

Here's what you'll need to complete the badge:

  • Bitterpearl: Find all 12 hidden shards in the Vault of Glass.
  • Infinite Reflections: Beat the Vault of Glass raid.
  • Vaultstrider: Beat the Vault of Glass raid on Master difficulty.
  • VoG Armor Set: Drops from various encounters in the raid.
  • Corrective Measure: Found in the first, third, and fifth encounters.
  • Fatebringer: Drops in the third and fourth encounters.
  • Found Verdict: Found in the first, second, and fourth encounters.
  • Hezen Vengeance: Drops in the fourth and fifth encounters.
  • Praedyth's Revenge: Found in the second and fifth encounters.
  • Vision of Confluence: Found in the first, second, and third encounters.
  • Vex Mythoclast: Has a chance to drop after your first raid clear of the week per character.

Obtaining the weapons and armor pieces will boil down to luck, especially for Vex Mythoclast. Try to clear the raid on all three of your characters each week to increase your chances of obtaining the Vex Mythoclast and other gear you're missing.

Raid Completion Triumphs

There are a few Triumphs for completing the Vault of Glass raid under certain conditions. Let's go over each of them:

  • Vault of Glass: Complete any version of the "Vault of Glass" raid.
  • Vault of Clans: Complete all encounters in the "Vault of Glass" raid with a full fireteam of clanmates.
  • Charged Glass: Complete all encounters in the "Vault of Glass" raid with a full fireteam of Arc subclasses.
  • Melted Glass: Complete all encounters in the "Vault of Glass" raid with a full fireteam of Solar subclasses.
  • Empty Glass: Complete all encounters in the "Vault of Glass" raid with a full fireteam of Void subclasses.
  • Vault of Class: Complete all encounters in the "Vault of Glass" raid with a full fireteam of the same class.
  • Master Glasser: Complete "Vault of Glass" on Master difficulty.
  • Maestro Glasser: Complete all encounter challenges in "Vault of Glass" on Master difficulty.

For the subclass Triumphs, the game will only check your subclass when the encounter ends. If your entire team swaps to a matching subclass just before the encounter ends, you'll get credit.

If you are in need of an active clan, you can find a clan on the Bungie forums, D2 PC LFG Discord, or the100.io website.

Master Vault Of Glass

The Master variant of Vault of Glass is much harder than the normal variant, featuring more Champions and enemies that are 1,350 Power. Complete the raid on Master is going to be a challenge for most teams, so here are a few tips:

  • Chain Supers: Use Super-generating Exotics and collect Orbs of Power whenever possible.
  • Use Damage Resistance Mods: Protective Light, Concussive Dampeners, and Void Damage Resistance mods are nigh-mandatory for Master VoG. Don't even attempt this raid unless you have at least one of those mods equipped.
  • Be at least 20 Power under the activity: As of writing, the raid's Power recommendation is 1,350. Unless you have a +30 Artifact, this is impossible to reach. However, a +10 Artifact and Pinnacle-level gear are more than feasible for raid teams attempting Master. If you're any lower, you can expect to be one-shot frequently.

Temporal Caches

Temporal Caches: Loot all hidden chests in the "Vault of Glass" raid.

There are four hidden chests in the Vault of Glass raid, one of which is an encounter chest that's labeled as a hidden chest for some reason. Here's where you can find all of the chests:

  1. Complete the opening spire encounter. The chest will spawn outside the entrance to the Vault of Glass.
    1. For whatever reason, this counts as a hidden chest.
  2. In the Trial of Kabr, you'll come across a chasm emitting yellow-green light.
    1. Fall off the cliffside.
    2. Turn around.
    3. Jump into the gap in the cliffside wall.
    4. The chest will be in the next room, resting beside a pillar directly across from a Vex plate.
  3. During the Gorgon's Labyrinth encounter, you'll need to destroy six Vex cubes inside the maze.
    1. Afterward, head directly right of spawn to find an opened circular door. The chest is inside.
  4. Just before you reach the Gatekeeper encounter, head to the room preceding the corridor that leads to the encounter.
    1. Climb the wall to your left to find a chest.

More detailed descriptions and images of each hidden chest can be found in our Vault of Glass raid guide.

Pearl Of Glass

Pearl of Glass: Find all the collectibles hidden within the Vault of Glass.

There are 12 hidden crystals that you can find throughout the Vault of Glass raid. Collecting all 12 of them will complete this Triumph and grant the Bitterpearl Shader—Destiny 2's take on the fan-favorite Chatterwhite Shader from the original Destiny.

Here's a brief description of where you can find each crystal:

  1. Spire: Found in a cave under the path that leads from left side to middle.
  2. Spire: From spawn, follow the dirt path that leads right. The crystal is resting beside the tree closest to a Vex wall.
  3. Trial of Kabr: Just before the chasm that leads to the hidden chest, look to the left of a rock to find a crystal.
  4. Trial of Kabr: Found beside this area's hidden chest. From the chest, turn around and climb over the tree.
  5. Confluxes: Before you drop into the arena, climb up the Vex structure to the left of the Rally Flag. It'll be resting on a ledge overlooking the chasm.
  6. Confluxes: Found on a ledge to the left of the exit. It's near the ceiling.
  7. Post-Templar Secret Path: Enter the secret path on the left side of the Templar's arena. Reach the bottom of the chasm and look for a destroyed Vex portal.
  8. Gorgon's Labyrinth: Head right of spawn. It's resting atop a boulder just as you enter the cave.
  9. Gorgon's Labyrinth: In the room preceding the exit. It's in the corner of the room directly across from the exit.
  10. Jumping Puzzle: As you enter the room, head left. Don't descend. Climb the Vex ledges to find a hidden cave. At the end of the cave, drop straight down. The crystal will be inside a wall on the edge of the room.
  11. Jumping Puzzle: From the entrance, reach the other side of the room. Look for a gap in the wall.
  12. Jumping Puzzle: In the corridor leading to the Gatekeeper encounter, look for a ledge on the left wall. Climb up to find a crystal.

Vault Of Glass Challenges

Fatebreaker has 12 Triumphs tied exclusively to encounter challenges in the Vault of Glass raid. We have in-depth guides for all of these in our Vault of Glass challenges guide. If you are curious about what each challenge demands, we'll list all of them below.

Break No Plates

Break No Plates: Complete the Waking Ruins encounter without losing a single sync plate to the Vex.

Don't let any Vex intercept the plates during the opening encounter. Minotaurs will be your biggest issue, so use your Special and Heavy weapons to take them out.

Break No Plates: Master Difficulty

Some of the Minotaurs will be Overload Minotaurs, so be sure to bring an Overload weapon. We highly recommend Stasis for Master VoG, as it'll slow and freeze any Minotaurs attempting to reach your plate. Whenever a Cyclops spawns, destroy it immediately! One Cyclops can easily wipe a fireteam if left unattended.

Wait For It...

Wait for it... During the confluxes encounter, only defeat Wyverns while they're sacrificing.

The Conflux weekly challenge requires that you only kill Wyverns when they begin sacrificing at a conflux. You can damage them before they sacrifice; you just can't kill them before they start sacrificing.

Wait For It... Master Difficulty

You'll want to damage Wyverns immediately when they spawn. Don't kill them yet. They must start sacrificing at the conflux before they can be slain. Witherhoard, Anarchy, and grenades are great for weakening Wyverns. Should a conflux despawn before a Wyvern reaches it, wait a few seconds for the Wyvern to also despawn. This won't void the challenge.

Return to Quick Links

Dragon's Den

Dragon's Den: Complete the confluxes encounter while defeating Wyverns with only Super damage.

Similar to the weekly challenge, you can damage the Wyverns with guns without voiding progress. So long as each Wyvern dies from Super damage, you'll be able to finish this Triumph. Use Supers like Chaos Reach and Golden Gun to take the Wyverns out quickly.

Dragon's Den: Master Difficulty

This is extremely tough to pull off on Master. Have your fireteam use ranged Supers like Chaos Reach and Golden Gun. Only peak the Wyvern when it's safe. Consider a Well of Radiance Warlock for each side to make this less dangerous.

The Only Oracle For You

The Only Oracle for You: Complete the Oracle encounter without destroying the same Oracle more than once.

You can't destroy the same Oracle more than once for the entire encounter, forcing your fireteam to rotate whenever an Oracle wave is cleared. We cover this strategy in detail in our VoG challenges guide.

The Only Oracle For You: Master Difficulty

Kill the Hobgoblins as soon as they spawn, and have at least one player specced for crowd control. Rotate the second an Oracle wave is cleared.

Return to Quick Links

Take Cover

Take Cover: Don't defeat any Hobgoblins during the Oracles encounter.

Related: Destiny 2: The Best Titan Builds For PvP And PvE

Bring defensive subclasses like bottom tree Nightstalker or middle tree Dawnblade to survive against the onslaught of Hobgoblins shots. Stick to cover when possible.

Take Cover: Master Difficulty

Use the same strategy for Master. Bring defensive subclasses, and try your best not to expose yourself to the Hobgoblins unless absolutely necessary. Use Sniper RIfle Resistance mods to reduce the damage Hobgoblins deal to you.

Out Of Its Way

Out of Its Way: Defeat the Templar without allowing it to teleport.

This is the common strategy used by most raid teams, so this is hardly a difficult weekly challenge. Make sure the Aegis user blocks the Templar's teleports to beat this challenge with ease.

Out Of Its Way: Master Difficulty

With Season 15's nerf to quick swapping and Anarchy, this is much harder to pull off. You have two options:

  1. Use double slug Shotguns + Anarchy, like before.
  2. Use Witherhoard and a Lasting Impression Rocket Launcher

The latter is a much easier rotation to pull off, although you won't have as much ammo as the first strategy. Consider bringing a Nightstalker Hunter as well to tether the boss and surrounding adds, debuffing the boss while taking care of some of the Vex nearby. Regardless of your strategy, make sure you have a Well of Radiance Warlock and Ward of Dawn Titan on your team.

Return to Quick Links

Tempered Teleport

Tempered Teleport: Complete the Templar encounter while never blocking the Templar's teleport.

Use weapons that deal high burst DPS, as your damage window is going to be quite short. Shotguns and Rocket Launchers are excellent picks for this challenge.

Tempered Teleport: Master Difficulty

There aren't any differences really. Stay alive, don't stay in the open, and be sure your team are dealing as much DPS as possible.

Return to Quick Links

Too Fast, Two Gorgons

Too Fast, Two Gorgons: Complete the Gorgons' Labyrinth encounter while defeating 2 or more Gorgons within 3 seconds of each other.

You'll need to rally a flag to get ammo for this challenge. Break all six Vex cubes in the labyrinth to open the path to a hidden chest. They'll be a rally flag location beside the chest, allowing your team to stock up on ammo. Use Wardcliff Coil to kill the Gorgons.

Too Fast, Two Gorgons: Master Difficulty

No changes. Use the same strategy as listed above.

Return to Quick Links

Strangers In Time

Strangers in Time: During the Gatekeepers encounter, defeat the Wyvern and Praetorian Minotaur enemies within 3 seconds of each other.

Each portal will have either a Praetorian or Wyvern spawn throughout the encounter. Kill both simultaneously to finish this challenge. You only have to do this for the portal confluxes; the conflux at the end of the encounter doesn't require you to do this.

Strangers In Time: Master Difficulty

This challenge is a nightmare on Master. Do your best to weaken the Wyvern before you give the callout to kill the Praetorian. Survivability is key for this, so consider playing a Nightstalker Hunter, Voidwalker Warlock, or Sentinel Titan. Don't get greedy with damage.

Return to Quick Links

Rabid Relic

Rabid Relic: Complete the Gatekeepers encounter while only using Relic Super damage to defeat Praetorians.

When you grab the Aegis, you'll have to wait a few seconds before your Super attack will charge. The attack will one-shot Minotaurs, but you'll need to directly hit them. Focus on generating Orbs of Power to help the Aegis user get their Super faster.

Rabid Relic: Master Difficulty

Use the same strategy as listed above. Orb generation is required for this to go smoothly.

Return to Quick Links

Ensemble's Refrain

Ensemble's Refrain: During the Atheon encounter, destroy no more than one Oracle per Oracle wave.

The Aegis user will have their drop their shield for a second to break an Oracle from each wave. That's about it. You can break the same Oracle in different waves; you just can't break more than one Oracle per wave.

Ensemble's Refrain: Master Difficulty:

There's not much added challenge on Master for the Oracle team. Just be sure the Relic holder kills the adds whenever they spawn.

Return to Quick Links

Eyes On Atheon

Eyes on Atheon: Defeat Atheon without destroying any Supplicants.

Supplicants are the explosive Harpies that spawn in the throne room during the final encounter. Damaging them at all before they explode will count as a kill, so it's best not to damage them at all throughout the encounter. Damage Atheon from the floating island near the center of the arena to prevent an accidental Supplicant kill.

Eyes On Atheon: Master Difficulty

If you have to complete this on Master (if you have the option, don't), stick to defensive subclasses. Nightstalker Hunters are especially useful here, allowing the Throne team to make callouts without any added pressure from Harpies and Supplicants. Whatever you do, do not damage any Supplicant!
