It won't be long in Pokemon Legends: Arceus before you're introduced to your very first request. The word, while self-explanatory, is notably this game's catch-all term for sidequests. Anyone who's ever played an RPG knows that sidequests are kind of a big deal.
There are a total of 27 main story missions in the game, with a surprisingly high number of them reserved for after the credits roll. All told, it's a fairly meaty quest, though some of them (especially earlier on) will take you a handful of minutes to complete.
Requests, by contrast, total up to 94. It's clear that Game Freak placed a great deal of developmental attention on these, and while they vary considerably with regard to their depth and scope, even the simplest offer nice little lore bits sure to satisfy longtime fans.
With so many requests to tackle, we just knew there'd be a need for a guide on how to unlock them all, not to mention what sort of savory rewards await your patronage.
The Basics of Requests
Requests come in a few main flavors. Many of them are posted to the Galaxy HQ board. This is the big green chalkboard behind Professor Laventon in the room he spends most of his time in. Board requests update regularly, so you should consider swinging by every so often as a core pillar of your gameplay loop.
Other requests can be found either through Jubilife Village NPCs or folks out in the wild — don't worry, they're usually not far from camps. When they've got something for you an icon will appear above their head. Simply chat them up to find out what they're on about.
It's easy to fret over why a particular request isn't popping up at the Galaxy HQ board. The mechanics behind this are a bit complicated, but the important takeaway is that many requests are linked to others. You might need to have finished one before another becomes available. This can happen with NPC-initiated requests as well.
