Pokemon Legends: Arceus takes you on a journey through the vast region of Hisui, a place full of life, challenges, and adventures that will make you capture a lot of pokemon, whether they're common, legendary, or even mythical ones.
Within the many legendary pokemon that you will find in this game, Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf make their return once again. Initially released in the original Diamond and Pearl games, these pokemon known as the "Lake Trio" will present you with a specific test during the main story.
How To Catch Uxie
During the main story, you must beat Uxie's Trial at Lake Acuity's cavern, where you will be received by an Alpha Hisuian Zoroark, and once you're done fighting, Uxie will present you a quiz, asking you to input a number sequence based on the number of eyes belonging to the following pokemon: Combee, Zubat, Unown, Magneton, and Dusclops.
Tip: If you feel lazy or want to solve this riddle quickly, the sequence is 60131.
After the main story concludes, you will revisit the three lakes during the main mission "The Plate of the lakes". This time, Uxie itself will receive you inside Lake Acuity's cavern, and you must battle him if you want to successfully catch it. He will spawn at level 70 and has access to the following moves:
- Tri Attack
- Calm Mind
- Mystical Power
- Hypnosis
Keep in mind that you must be well-prepared, and bring some Ghost, Bug, and Psychic-type pokemon if you want to have the upper hand.
How To Catch Mesprit
During the main story, you must beat Mesprit's Trial at Lake Verity's cavern, where you will be received by an Alpha Goodra, and once you defeat it, Mesprit will test you. The challenge will consist of Mesprit asking you how you felt during critical moments of your journey, and it doesn't seem to have wrong choices, as long as you accept to tell it your feelings at the beginning.
After the main story concludes, you will revisit the three lakes during the main mission "The Plate of the lakes". This time, Mesprit itself will receive you inside Lake Verity's cavern, and you must battle him if you want to successfully catch it. He will spawn at level 70 and has access to the following moves:
- Tri Attack
- Calm Mind
- Mystical Power
- Recover
Keep in mind that you must be well-prepared, and bring some Ghost, Bug, and Psychic-type pokemon if you want to have the upper hand.
How To Catch Azelf
During the main story, you must beat Azelf's Trial at Lake Valor's cavern, where you will be received by an Alpha Overqwil, and once you defeat it, Azelf will present you with a test. It will challenge you to throw balls at them, and the truth is that it will be impossible. However, you must keep going, since the test is about your perseverance, and not if you're able to hit them or not.
After the main story concludes, you will revisit the three lakes during the main mission "The Plate of the lakes". This time, Azelf itself will receive you inside Lake Valor's cavern, and you must battle him if you want to successfully catch it. He will spawn at level 70 and has access to the following moves:
- Tri Attack
- Nasty Plot
- Mystical Power
- Self-Destruct
