Early on in Pokemon Legends: Arceus you will likely come across a request to fill out the Pokedex entry for the Pokemon Cherrim - To Bloom or Not to Bloom. It's also quite likely that you won't have come across a Cherrim or its pre-evolved form, Cherubi.

These are tricky Pokemon to find, and filling out its Pokedex entry will take a little bit of effort and legwork on your part, but we can help speed things along. For you trouble, you'll get five Vivichokes - handy items to have for crafting!

Where To Find Cherrim (And Cherubi)

A Cherrim being caught in Pokemon Legends Arceus

The frustrating thing about finding these Pokemon is that whether they turn up in your game is left entirely to chance. Cherrim and its pre-evolved form, Cherubi, are Pokemon that live in trees, so it can be a while before you send a Pokemon out to attack the right shaking trees to find one.

Another confounding factor is the fact that these Pokemon only inhabit trees in certain locations. These are as follows:

  • The Heartwood of Obsidian Fieldlands
  • Gapejaw Bog in Crimson Mirelands
  • Lonely Spring, Fabled Spring, and Primeval Grotto in Coronet Highlands

To find these Pokemon, you'll need to travel to these locations and scour them for shaking trees. Send one of your Pokemon out to attack them and hope that a Cheubi or a Cherrim falls out.

Every location where Cherrim can be found also contains Cherubi. Cherrim feels rarer in Obsidian Fieldlands and Crimson Mirelands, and more common in Coronet Highlands when compared to Cherubi.

They're not particularly powerful Pokemon, but it's useful to know that Cherrim itself has a rather low catch rate and may know Petal Dance, a frustrating, powerful move to be up against.

In order to complete the Pokedex entry for Cherrim, you'll need to do the following:

  • Catch a Cherrim.
    • You can either catch a Cherrim directly or evolve a Cherubi at Level 25. Thanks to Cherrim's low catch rate, it may be more convenient to evolve a Cherubi.
  • Complete enough of Cherrim's research tasks.
    • All the usual tasks apply: catch or evolve a number Cherrim, see a number of them fall out of trees, and defeat a number of them.
    • Cherrim's unique tasks are to witness it use Agile Style attacks and to witness it use Petal Dance. Cherrim learns Petal Dance at level 47.

Once you have completed Cherrim's Pokedex entry, you can return to Kichi and show him to complete To Bloom or Not to Bloom and receive your reward of five Vivichokes.
