Pokemon Legends: Arceus introduces a new formula to the well-known franchise, bringing players to the vast region of Hisui, full of mysteries and adventures. In a region as large as this, you will get to see classic pokemon in all their glory, and also new takes on some of them, and even some unexpected twists.

One of the new twists we get to see in this region comes in the form of regional variants or even new evolutions, and such is the case of Scyther and its new evolved form, Kleavor, an extremely strong pokemon that you can also witness as one of the various frenzied Noble Pokemon to defeat throughout the story.

How To Get Scyther

To obtain a Kleavor, you have to catch a Scyther first, a Bug/Flying-type pokemon from the Kanto region that can be found in the following zones across Hisui:

  • Obsidian Fieldlands
    • Grandtree Arena
  • Coronet Highlands
    • Primeval Grotto

Scyther has two possible evolution paths, with the most common one unlockable by using a Metal Coat, an item that will evolve it into Scizor, a Bug/Steel pokemon from the Johto Region. However, Legends: Arceus introduces a new item, called Black Augurite, to evolve Scyther into its new form, Kleavor.

Where To Get Black Augurite

To successfully evolve this pokemon to its new evolution, you must use a Black Augurite on it. This is a consumable evolutionary item obtainable by the following methods:

  • As a possible drop for defeating Graveler or Golem.
  • Hidden on the ground, obtainable by digging with Ursaluna.
  • Space-time Distortions - Laying on the floor.
  • As a possible reward in the Request "A Nosepass to Guide the Way".

How To Get Kleavor

Once you have obtained your Black Augurite, you must use it on your Scyther to successfully evolve it. This regional variant will have a Bug/Rock typing and will gain access to its signature move Stone Axe, a Rock move of 90 power and 90 accuracy that will make enemies get some extra damage every turn in the form of jagged rocks.
