One of the many returning pokemon is Bergmite, originally showcased in the Kalos region. This little icicle makes a comeback in the region of Hisui alongside a new local variant for its evolution, Avalugg. Sporting a different typing and even a different aspect, here's everything you need to know to get a Hisuian Avalugg.

How To Get Bergmite

The Ice-type pokemon Bergmite makes his comeback from the X&Y games, from the region of Kalos all the way to Hisui, and if you want to find one you must play the game for a fair bit, since it will reside in one of the later zones you can access in the game, as follows:

  • Alabaster Icelands
    • Avalugg's Legacy
    • Arena's Approach

Bergmite will usually roam out in the open or relax inside the many underground ice caves, but it will be easily noticeable, so you shouldn't have any problems to catch it. Be sure to equip enough Poke Balls, and you should get one in no time.

How To Get Hisuian Avalugg

After having caught your Bergmite, the next thing you have to do is to level it up to 37, so it can evolve to the Hisuian variant of Avalugg. Now being Ice/Rock-type, the Hisuian Avalugg has access to moves such as Earth Power, Blizzard, or the new attack move Mountain Gale, a physical Ice-type move of 100 potency and 85 accuracy that will cause massive damage to your foes. You can also spot Hisuian Avalugg as one of the many frenzied Noble pokemon throughout the story.

Alternatively, Hisuian Avalugg can be found fully evolved in the following zones of the Alabaster Icelands:

  • Alabaster Icelands
    • Avalugg's Legacy
