The Warlock remains one of the most iconic classes in Hearthstone's rich history. From the decks to the heroes, and finally the cards, the class has defined what makes Hearthstone one of the most successful digital card games ever. Thematically, Warlock is all about sacrificing a bit of health and power for even greater returns.

Most Hearthstone players will tell you that there aren't a lot of metas where Warlock wasn't strong. This is thanks in large part to their Hero Power, and especially their cards. Warlocks are some of the most powerful cards in Hearthstone history, and we're taking a look at some of the best in the game today.

10/10 High Priestess Jeklik

High Priestess Jeklik is a strong card designed to give the DiscardLock deck some form of defense. This legendary minion completely shuts down any aggro decks trying to swarm the board. Thanks to its five health stat, Jeklik is one of the trickiest cards to deal with once placed on the board.

And if you're not convinced of Jeklik's strength, consider the fact that this card is even played in non-discard decks. The tempo and value it provides as a four-drop is simply too good.

9/10 Arson Accusation

Warlock is certainly spoiled with great card removal, but Arson Accusation might just be the best of them all. This card's addition to the game raised a lot of eyebrows. At two mana, this spell gives at least six or seven mana worth of value.

Arson Accusation's effect allows you to choose a minion, then the first time you take damage you destroy your target. Combining this with your Hero Power, Life Tap, is a four-mana destroy-a-card then draw-a-card effect. Talk about value!

8/10 Flame Imp

Warlock decks typically follow two archetypes: aggro and control. And it just so happens that Flame Imp is a staple in the former. This common one-drop allows you to take control of any board early in the game. It's considered one of the best one-drops in Hearthstone for a reason.

Flame Imp is a simple, yet effective card design. It damages you when played and gives you board advantage — all for just one mana. Both are things a Warlock zoo deck aims to do, and this card provides both in a strong 3/2 body.

7/10 Lady Darkvein

It's not often Warlock gets combo decks, but it's become possible with Lady Darkvein thrown in the mix. This deck has a neat effect saddled to a strong 3/6 body. Darkvein is slowly becoming a staple in Warlock decks, and we're all here for it.

Darkvein's Battlecry summons two 2/1 Shades with a Deathrattle that activates your last Shadow Spell. Combining this card with Dragged Below is a deadly combo, as it turns your opponent into a ticking time bomb.

6/10 Abyssal Enforcer

Since its arrival all those expansions back, Abyssal Enforcer has been a staple Warlock card. For a common card, Abyssal Enforcer has done wonders for all sorts of control-based Warlock decks. It's so powerful that players are even teching it in zoo decks!

A seven-mana 6/6, Abyssal Enforcer deals three damage to all other characters once it's played on the field. This gives Warlock board clear, direct damage, and a means to harm itself. All three benefit control locks very well.

5/10 Entitled Customer

Very often we get powerful and popular decks that leave a mark in Hearthstone like Handlock. This deck was popular because it capitalized on Warlock's hero power to fill its hand with cards. Handlock was convoluted, powerful, and different. While it's not as strong as it used to be, Handlock got some form of support with Entitled Customer.

This epic six-drop deals damage equal to your hand size to all other minions. That's right, Handlock got a board clear on top of a 3/2 body.

4/10 Imp Gang Boss

Imp Gang Boss is a staple card in Warlock zoo decks. This card constantly pumps out value thanks to its powerful effect. In addition, it's very tricky for players to trade into Imp Gang Boss, leaving them vulnerable to value trades. Imp Gang Boss is one of the reasons why is formidable no matter what cards they introduce to the game.

A three-mana 2/4, Imp Gang Boss summons 1/1 Imps whenever it takes damage. This means it can trade into smaller minions, while leaving 1/1 Imps behind to deal chip damage to the opponent.

3/10 Voidwalker

If you ask any Hearthstone player to name a Warlock card, the chances of them saying Voidwalker is quite high. This card has defined Warlock all throughout Hearthstone's history, setting a standard for what future one-drops should look like.

A one-mana 1/3 Demon with Taunt, Voidwalker isn't too impressive in terms of stats and effect. But this card synergizes well with other Warlock cards, and has a home in most of its decks.

2/10 Tamsin Roame

Tamsin Roame gives Warlock an entirely different look by adding a combo element to their arsenal. This card is a staple in control Warlock decks for a reason — it has given the class an additional, exciting layer in terms of deck building, and we can't wait to see what players build next!

This legendary minion is a three-mana 1/3 that copies and adds 1+ Mana Shadow Spells you've played to your hand. This opens up possibilities of combos with cards like Unstable Shadow Blast.

1/10 Dreadlich Tamsin

Dreadlich Tamsin is one of Warlock's Hero cards and is simultaneously one of the best cards in the game. Playing Dreadlich Tamsin gives you a chance to completely flip the board and turn the tides of the game, no matter how far behind you are. It's a staple control card, and at times is an auto-win once played.

This Hero card deals three damage to all minions on the board, shuffles three Rifts to your deck, and then draws three cards. It's a board clear, summon, and card draw all in one. Facing Dreadlich Tamsin feels like facing an army of 3/3 Imps, making it the best Warlock card in the game.
