When it comes to genre mashups, there's very few people out there as good as a YouTuber called eli_handle_b.wav. The creator has uploaded several video over the past six months, each one taking a popular character from a movie and usually plopping them into a game's world. Now they're back with yet another mashup, this time putting Jim Carrey's Ace Ventura in the world of Cyberpunk 2077.
The video itself can be found embedded below and puts Ventura in several different scenes in Cyberpunk 2077, including the car chase right at the beginning of the game. Other scenes included in this brilliant mashup involve Ventura sneaking into a building and hiding poorly inside a cardboard box, and even shows the pet detective taking on Adam Smasher - although something tells me V couldn't get away with an aggressive noogie like Ventura does.
If you're a fan of this Ace Ventura x Cyberpunk 2077 mashup, the video's creator has released a bunch of different ones involving other titles. For example, one of the creator's more recent videos is a Naked Gun mashup with Detroit: Become Human, replacing the android cop Connor with the much funnier and charismatic Leslie Nielsen. Before that, they also uploaded a video that had Aragorn exploring The Lands Between in Elden Ring.
In other Cyberpunk-related news, it's been a big week for fans of the series as developer CD Projekt Red recently revealed plans for a full-blown sequel to Cyberpunk 2077. While we don't know much about the project, we do know that it's being developed under the codename Orion and that the developer is setting up a completely brand new studio in Boston just for the sequel.
At the same time, CD Projekt Red also revealed that it plans to release a bunch of Witcher titles as well as a new IP. Like with the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel, all of these projects are just listed as codenames right now, so hopefully it's not too long before the developers begin to drop some more details.
