We’re just over a week away from Season of [Redacted], which means you’ve got just over a week to grind out your best rolls in Destiny 2’s latest raid, the Deep Stone Crypt.

What makes Deep Stone Crypt weapons so appealing is their access to completely unique perks. Recombination, Reconstruction, and Redirection are all great and you can’t go wrong on whichever weapon pops up with any of these three perks. But besides the perks, Heritage is Destiny 2’s only kinetic slug shotgun that hasn’t been sunset, and Succession is the only aggressive frame kinetic sniper outside of Iron Banner.

Each of Deep Stone Crypt’s weapons is a cut above the rest of Destiny 2’s arsenal even without the new perks, so gather your friends, head to Europa, and try to nab these particular god rolls.

Heritage

Outside of the First In, Last Out, Heritage is your best choice for a precision slug shotgun — mostly because it comes with a set of unique perks that can make it into a major-stomping boomstick.

Reconstruction is great for an off-use special ammo weapon because it slowly reloads the weapon over time until it has doubled its usual magazine capacity. In the second perk slot, Thresh can give you extra super energy for each enemy you kill, but Recombination provides a straight damage boost that is extremely easy to proc given the fact you'll have an elemental primary. Just take out a single nearby red bar and you'll have even more power when you swap to Heritage.

Best Roll: Arrowhead Brake, Assault Mag, Reconstruction, Recombination

Succession

Heritage proved that Reconstruction is an amazing perk in PvE, and pairing that with Vorpal can turn Succession into perhaps the best non-Exotic boss cracker in the game. Throw in a Boss-spec Mod and Succession's ranged DPS is second to none.

Given that Succession already has a phenomenal range, you'll likely want Fluted Barrel or Arrowhead Brake to tame this beast's massive recoil, and Tactical Mag is the best-in-slot for magazines due to the extra bullet, stability, and reload speed. Handling or reload should be your masterwork trait.

Best Roll: Arrowhead Brake, Tactical Mag, Reconstruction, Vorpal

Posterity

As a primary, Posterity doesn't benefit from Reconstruction nearly as much as Heritage or Succession. Instead, look for either Feeding Frenzy, Surplus, or Killing Wind in the first perk slot, and then either Redirection, One For All, of Rampage in the second slot. I'd recommend One For All since it's relatively easy to tag three enemies and the damage boost lasts an astounding 10 seconds.

Tactical Mag is, as always, your best option in the magazine, although Appended Mag is a fine substitute. Corkscrew Rifling, Fluted Barrel, or Smallbore are the preferred barrels, while a Range or Reload masterwork will improve the only two pain stats on the gun.

Best Roll: Smallbore, Tactical Mag, Surplus, One For All

Trustee

A rapid-fire Scout Rifle, Trustee can roll with quite a few great perks. Surplus, Outlaw, or Killing Wind in the first slot and Wellspring or Redirection in the second slot are all great combinations, but don't overlook High Impact Reserves. Since Trustee is a rapid-fire Scout, you'll often find yourself blowing through an entire magazine, and High Impact Reserves is the easiest damage perk to activate in the game.

As a Scout Rifle, Trustee doesn't really need the extra range, so Fluted Barrel is a great choice to make it handle a little better. Tactical Mag is still your best choice in magazines.

Commemoration

Hammerhead is back, but now you gotta get it in Deep Stone Crypt. Feeding Frenzy and Rampage are a tough combination to beat on any machine gun, but Reconstruction is available in the first perk slot, and Dragonfly can turn Commemoration into a Void-based Thuderlord. Surplus is another great choice that'll help boost Commemoration's lackluster handling and reload speed.

Commemoration's recoil is relatively well managed, so Fluted or Corkscrew Barrel will just provide the biggest stat boosts. Tactical Mag is your best in slot magazine, as usual, but feel free to pair Appended Mag with a decent reload perk like Feeding Frenzy or Surplus.

Best Roll: Fluted Barrel, Tactical Mag, Surplus, Rampage

Bequest

Bequest is easily the worst reward possible in Deep Stone Crypt. That's mostly because the best combination of perks for swords — Relentless Strikes and Whirlwind — just isn't available. Relentless Strikes is still there in the first slot, but your second perk can either be Assassin's Blade or Surrounded, unless you have a particular affinity to guarding.

If you didn't want to go with Relentless Strikes, Thresh is an alternative that'll help build super energy with each kill. You won't get any ammo back, but the tradeoff of more frequent supers seems worth it overall. Pair that with Assassin's Blade and you have a sword that'll offer something unique if ammo-hungry.

Best Roll: Jagged Edge, Swordmaster's Guard, Thresh, Assassin's Blade
