Disney Dreamlight Valley is a whimsical trip down memory lane, filled with the fantastical faces that once spelled out many a childhood - and continue to do so. You'll have to work with the villagers by completing friendship quests, collecting Dreamlight magic, and striving to rid the once-great Valley of the curse of The Forgetting.
You can even feed the village wildlife if you want to expand your collection of cute companions, but to do this, you'll need to feed them from their chosen food groups at least twice. Here's how to find each critter and what to feed them!

Complete Critter Guide
Critters are the in-game name for the creatures you'll meet ferreting about in each unique biome. Each biome is home to specific creatures that can't be spotted elsewhere, and only two of each variant will appear per day.
Working out what to feed these little guys can be tricky, and once you serve them something they don't like, you won't be able to make another attempt that day.
Foxes, Squirrels, and Rabbits like to be chased around a little before they let you approach them, whereas Sunbirds are very friendly and will let you walk on up and offer them a snack.
Raccoons and Turtles are far shyer. These require you to approach slowly, let them hide, and only then can you interact with them.
Avoid disappointment by following our handy table below, detailing which critters can be found in each location and what to feed their rumbling bellies. Feeding them the food they like will earn you some randomised rewards, from Dream Shards to seeds and even motifs!

How To Select A Critter Companion
Once you feed a creature twice - any food they like, not just their favourites - you can then enlist them as a companion to follow you on your journey through the Valley!
You won't be able to feed or interact with your companion (yet), but they do look darn cute scurrying about at your heels. And who's never wanted a pet raven?
To select your companion, follow these steps:
- Go to the Inventory menu and select "Wardrobe"
- In your wardrobe, maneuver to the "Companions" tab and select a critter from the screen
