Disney Dreamlight Valley is very similar to Animal Crossing and The Sims. It's a life simulator that allows you to set up your own home, garden, fish, and forage to make food and craft items. To progress in Disney Dreamlight, you must unlock characters and quests while upgrading your home and village.

Part of these quests usually means you must run around and collect certain items for that character to complete your quest or craft a specific item. Sometimes it can be hard to find particular items or know where to look. Emeralds are one of those items that are not easily found.

How To Find Emeralds

Emeralds are found in two locations in your village, and both of these locations must be unlocked with Dreamlight.

Location Dreamlight Cost
Forest of Valor 3,000 Dreamlight
Glade of Trust 5,000 Dreamlight

These are the only places you can mine for Emeralds, so you need to unlock at least one of these to proceed in your quests. There is only a small chance of getting Emeralds from mining in these areas, so you need to stick at it as it is not guaranteed.

In a rock vein, you can find multiple precious stones. In the Forest, you can find Aquamarine and Emeralds; in the Glade, you can find Citrine and Emeralds.

If you find a rock vein with green sticking out in either of these locations, then an Emerald is guaranteed.

How To Farm Emeralds

Farming for Emeralds is best done by getting a mining buddy; this is a character you have set up for mining when you first level them up. What this means is not only can you level them up quicker when mining with them, but they can also help you to have a higher chance to find Gemstones and the chance to find extra Gemstones when mining.

Something to bear in mind, you can find a Shiny version of all Gemstones, and these are not the same as a normal Gemstone for missions, so make sure to check you have the right Emeralds when you find them.

Once you have a mining buddy, go to either location mentioned and start making your way around each rock vein. Remember that rock veins take up to five minutes to respawn, so you will need to wait between each farming trip.

If you have both the Forest and Glade unlocked, you can farm one and then switch to the other, and by the time you are back to the other location, the rock veins should have respawned.

Even if you do not find Emeralds straight away, with all the other Gemstones and ores you can find, it will be worth it to sell them for coins or put them into storage for future quests.
