Lost Ark is all about leveling up your main character and a set of alternate characters. This is because most of the endgame content is where the real heart of the game is. You've got two options: speed-run the leveling process to access endgame content, or take your time as a completionist.

This short guide covers how long you can expect to take to hit level 50 in Lost Ark, which is currently the max level in the game. We will also cover the two different types of levels in the game: character level and account level.

What Is The Max Level In Lost Ark?

The max class level in Lost Ark is level 50.

How Long Does It Take To Hit Max Level In Lost Ark?

The current world record for level 50 in Lost Ark is around the 10-hour mark. However, for a brand-new player, you're more likely to hit level 50 within the 15-20 hour mark, which is still relatively fast for an MMO. This might take longer if you want to complete all the quests along the way.

However, that's just the start of your journey in Lost Ark. You should focus on leveling up some alternate characters, too. Why? Because you will be able to complete more endgame content that is locked behind time-stops for your main character, i.e you can only complete one set of dailies a day, and only run two or three endgame raids/dungeons.

  • You can choose to speedrun the game or take your time completing sidequests.
  • You should take your time during your first run through Lost Ark. The story is rewarding, the world is fun to explore, and there are interesting fetch quests alongside more mundane MMO tasks.
  • If you do want to race to the endgame content, you no longer need to complete any side quests to hit level 50. Follow the main quests, pick up chain quests when they're available, and complete area quests when they pop up while exploring the world.
  • That being said, a lot of the sidequests in Lost Ark are usually in the direction of the main quest anyway - this means you're not really saving much time by completing them.

What Is The Difference Between An Account Level And A Character Level?

There are two major levels you'll notice in Lost Ark: your character level and account level. Your character level will hit level 50 and open up a bunch of endgame content, including access to your first Awakening skill. Your account level works a bit differently, as this will slowly progress as you level up your main character and the alts.

The account level provides account-wide boosts, like extra vitality on your characters, or even chests full of Crystals, one of the in-game currencies. You will notice this tick away in the background as you fill out your Adventurer's Tome and complete quests.
