Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is coming to PC via Steam. We’ve actually known that for a while, but we didn’t know exactly when it would arrive on Valve’s digital platform until a few days ago when YouTuber Candian Guy Eh received a pizza that had a receipt that said: "Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time Is Coming To Steam October 18th."

A few days later, and now that release date has been confirmed on Steam. Right underneath the “critically acclaimed” game description is a release date that reads a week from today. Steam users can’t pre-order the game, but they can wishlist it to be notified immediately as it becomes available on October 18.

Crash Bandicoot 4 did indeed receive critical acclaim when it first arrived back in 2020. A beloved '90s character that saw a resurgence with the release of the N. Sane Trilogy, It's About Time brought in developer Toys for Bob, the same studio which handled the N. Sane Trilogy's Switch port.

Crash 4 throws the titular bandicoot through multiversal portals in a quest to prevent Doctor Neo Cortex and Doctor Nefarious Tropy from taking over all universes. Returning characters also include the massive Dingodile, the helpful Aku Aku, and a punk version of Tawna that definitely doesn’t need saving this time around.

And this might not be the last we see of the time-travelling bandicoot. The same pizza box that confirmed Crash 4's Steam release date also had a teaser that might have previewed the next Crash game too. A sticker inside the box read, "Hungry for more? Try our new Wumpa Pizza for $12.08!" That's December 8, the same day as The Game Awards Showcase, while "Wumpa Pizza" might refer to the long-rumored Wumpa League, a multiplayer version of Crash that was supposed to arrive with It's About Time but was delayed during the game's development.
