Genshin Impact introduced La Signora at the end of the Mondstadt story arc where she attacked Venti and stole his Gnosis. Afterward, she appeared again in Liyue where she had struck a deal with Zhongli, and then again at the end of the Inazuma story arc, where you must face her in a dual before the throne.

Like the previous Harbinger battle with Tartaglia, Signora has multiple phases that you must contend with. Without the proper preparation, this can be a tough battle, especially since you are dealing with both sheer cold and blazing heat meters that will quickly rise while you're trying to take her down.

La Signora Battle Basics

La Signora is a weekly battle that unlocks at the end of the Inazuma story arc. It is located at the Raiden Shogun's Palace and allows you to collect the new talent leveling materials; Ashen Heart, Hellfire Butterfly, and Molten Moment.

The battle itself has three phases: a cryo phase, a brief cocoon phase, and a phase that pits you against La Signora's ultimate pyro form. If you want to make the fight a bit easier on yourself, then you can take it on in co-op with a friend or use the match-making option in the domain menu before entering battle.

Beating Cryo La Signora

In La Signora's first phase, she will use her cryo vision to attack you. Her attacks will cover the floor in ice, causing your sheer cold meter to rise. In addition, being hit with her cryo attacks will cause your meter to fill up as well.

In this phase, she is rather easy to attack, and setting up things like Kazuha's swirl damage inflicting elemental burst can work wonders for taking down her health as she won't move around as much. You should be sure to go into your menu and consume food that will give you buffs for the battle, in addition - use a Frostshield Potion to help negate some of the cryo damage.

  • Tip: It's a good idea to bring Diona or Zhongli to this battle and use their shields to protect you from some of the damage

You will want to look out for her projectile attacks, her ice flowers, and the icicles that she summons onto the field. These are all rather easy to dodge and you can usually tell when an attack is coming and what direction she is sending it in. Sadly, each attack will help to cover the room in ice, making it hazardous to safely move around the battlefield.

In order to manage the icy floor and sheer cold, you will want to use the pyro sigils to clear the nearby floor of ice and bring your meter back down. These spawn at the four corners of the arena and can be broken open with both normal and elemental attacks.

Once you have brought down her health, she will place herself inside of a cryo cocoon, and you will need to use a pyro character such as Diluc or pick up the red butterflies scattered around the room before each attack to break it open.

At this point, You may want to consume more food if you think your timers have run out, and use a Heatshield Potion.

Beating The Crimson Witch of Embers

Once La Signora finally emerges from her icy cocoon, she will take her true form as the Crimson Witch of Ember. In this form, she is a lot more volatile and her attacks will be much harder to dodge.

In addition, she will bring the all-new blazing heat effect into play. Blazing heat works the same way as sheer cold and La Signora will quickly set the floor ablaze to make your meter goes up. There will now be hydro sigils in the four corners of the room and bursting them will help clear the nearby area of fire and cool your character off.

In this form, it's harder to get close to La Signora and she moves around the room a lot, making it difficult to set up some elemental bursts. You will want to use ranged attacks as she now has a fiery AoE attack to use on you if you get too close.

This makes her colleague Tartaglia an excellent choice to deal damage. She has also changed her attacks up; she can now rain fire onto your character, use a pyro whip to strike from a distance, and can even summon birds and fireballs to hurl at you.

Be sure to use a shield to absorb some of the damage and make dodging a priority. When La Signora's health gets low, she will gain a new attack that allows her to turn into a pyro tornado that rages across the room, turning her path into a deadly ember-infused stretch.

Avoid this tornado at all costs and focus on using hydro sigils to cool the room off when you can safely break one open. Keep on top of these tactics and make sure your buffs are topped up, and you should have La Signora beaten in no time.
