Updated on October 27, 2021, by Helen Ashcroft: Since this guide was written carrots have gained some extra uses and are more frequently used. If you visit Dragonspine a lot you'll no doubt want a plentiful supply to make Goulash, which reduces the effects of sheer cold. There are also extra recipes to be found and red dye to be made. As such, this guide has been updated to add a map showing the locations of carrots, as well as a list of their uses.

Best Locations To Find Carrots In Genshin Impact

If you don’t want to spend your Mora then your best bet for getting carrots is just by finding them, even if it means stealing them from someone’s garden. Seriously, a lot of the NPCs in Genshin Impact do tend to keep vegetables like carrots in their gardens, or on a cart nearby. You can often go through villages, especially in the more rural locations in Genshin Impact, and just swipe carrots from gardens freely. You can just take them, they’re free. Like ducks at the pond.

While carrots can be found all over Teyvat, they are most prominent in Mondstadt. The main clusters of carrots are marked on the map above and the best ones found in the following places:

  • Dawn Winery - There are several crops of carrots in the fields surrounding the winery. You can also find them by breaking boxes and barrels.
  • Springvale - The village just south of the waypoint has several occupants who are growing carrots and they are all ready to harvest.
  • Brightcrown Canyon - This location is less obvious but if you head southwest from the waypoint on the coast there are several clusters of carrots to be found.
  • Stormterror's Lair - This area is tricky to navigate but we suggest travelling to the northern most waypoint. There are some carrots just to the east you can grab before heading towards the lair itself to find some more. A cluster can also be found near the waypoint to the west of the lair itself.

Liyue has fewer villages with fertile fields but there are several along the coast just west of Wangshu Inn. You can also get limited amounts of carrots, as well as other cooking ingredients, by sending your characters on expeditions through the Adventurer's Guild.

Where To Buy Carrots In Genshin Impact

There is at least one location in Teyvat that you can visit in order to buy a bunch of carrots, up to ten per day. They cost 260 Mora each, making them expensive but handy in a pinch.

All you have to do is head to Liyue Harbor. Go to the south side of the harbor, over the bridge, and then go down the row of shops to the right of the large building opposite the waypoint. There will be several restaurants you can visit, but only one will be marked on your map when you zoom all the way in. This is the Wanhim restaurant.

Talk to Chef Mao in the Wanmin restaurant and browse his stock to find carrots as werll as several other vegetables. He also sells some recipes you can pick up while you're there. Great if you want a handful of vegetables as quickly as possible.
