In the world of Genshin Impact there's a frigid region just to the south of Mondstadt named Dragonspine. The majority of Dragonspine is a massive mountain that challenges you with its harsh climate as you ascend. Throughout your travels up the mountain you'll find floating red gemstones that resemble the elemental oculi in other regions.

These are called Crimson Agates, and also much like elemental oculi are collected to be offered to an important landmark in the area. In Dragonspine this landmark is called the Frostbearing Tree. For every ten Crimson Agates you offer to it, the tree bestows rewards that improve the more you collect. It has a total of 12 levels, and by proxy 12 separate rewards you can obtain. Every level gives ten mystic enhancement ore, 50,000 mora and 200 adventure EXP along with a unique reward. Here's what to look forward to.

9/9 Acquaint Fates - Levels One, Two, and Five

Everybody playing Genshin Impact knows of Acquaint Fates and treasures them well. Acquaint Fates are the standard summoning currency used for the game's permanently available standard banner, named Wanderlust Invocation. They are often refered to as blue wishes.

In this banner you have a chance of summoning the characters the game provides near the beginning to give them a boost. Not only that but there's also a variety of other weapons and characters to obtain.

There are three levels of the Frostbearing Tree that reward you with Acquaint Fates, those being levels one, two and five. Levels one and two give you one each, while the reward for Level five is two Acquaint Fates.

8/9 Hero's Wit - Levels Three and Seven

Hero's Wits are currently the best material to use for leveling your characters up since they provide the largest amount of EXP. The amount needed to max out a character is quite large, but fortunately they aren't difficult to find. Completing quests and opening chests alone should get you a good number of them.

Both Levels three and seven provide you with five Hero's Wits each for completing them. While that isn't too high of a number it doesn't come at a cost, aside from finding the Crimson Agates, unlike the Blossoms of Revelation. Thanks to the Frostbearing Tree you'll be able to level your characters up just a little bit quicker.

7/9 Diagram: Warming Bottle - Level Four

The Warming Bottle has a lot more niche of a purpose when compared to the other items available as rewards. After using the blueprint to get the recipe, you're able to craft one. A Warming Bottle is a gadget which creates a flaming seelie that generates heat just as campfires and torches do on Dragonspine. The seelie lasts five seconds in the spot you use the bottle in, giving you a brief bit to warm up before you continue onward.

Unfortunately, the reward for Level four may be the most underwhelming out of all 12. Sources of heat are placed all around the Dragonspine region, so unless you get unlucky a torch should just be a simple walk away. There isn't much need to create Warming Bottles but they're nice to have as an option.

6/9 Intertwined Fates - Level Six

Intertwined Fates are the other form of summoning currency (or wishes) and the one with the most value. As the premium summoning currency, Intertwined Fates are used to wish on banners that are only around for a limited time, such as brand new characters or weapons. While sometimes available through events, they're usually obtained by exchanging primogems for them. You'll definitely want to take every opportunity you can to get your hands on these.

One of these opportunities is provided to you through the Level six ewards of the Frostbearing Tree. On completion you're granted two Intertwined Fates for use, whether you decide to summon immediately or save for later use.

5/9 Northlander Polearm Billet - Level Eight

The Northlander Polearm Billet is another material that's difficult to obtain consistently. Currently, aside from one-time rewards the only method of obtaining Northlander Billets of any kind is getting lucky with drop rates on weekly bosses. These materials are used as an essential ingredient to craft unique 4-Star weapons, and as you get more you're able to enhance them further.

Level eight provides a high-value reward with the Northlander Polearm Billet, likely for players to capitalize on the craftable Polearm blueprint that can be found on Dragonspine. While it doesn't need to be used for that, any character that uses polearms is sure to appreciate it.

4/9 Frostbearing: Ancient Tree Namecard - Level Nine

Namecards are a purely cosmetic feature of the game that don't change much but are nice to look at. You can view them yourself whenever you end up pausing your game, and your friends can see the one you have assigned.

The Frostbearing Tree namecard is designed based after what you get it from, being provided as an additional reward at Level nine. It's shaped just like the tree itself with other curving details around the card, the entire thing being mostly soft shades of blue. To some this won't mean anything, but it'll certainly please namecard collectors.

3/9 Memory of the Frostbearing Tree Diagram - Level Ten

Despite the confusing name, the Memory of the Frostbearing Tree is a blueprint for a craftable weapon obtained from Level ten. This weapon is called the Frostbearer, a catalyst that greatly benefits Cryo-attuned characters. In order to create it you'll first need a Northlander Catalyst Billet, which can be difficult to get your hands on. After that all you need is some starsilver, crystal chunks and mora to finish it up.

The Frostbearer has a passive chance to drop an icicle that deals additional damage if the enemy's afflicted with cryo. It'll be sure to rack up extra damage if your character uses plenty of normal or charged attacks.

2/9 Crown of Insight - Level 11

Crowns of Insight are yet another highly prized item among players of Genshin Impact because of their rarity. Only a couple are available in the world and most must be obtained through grinding various time-limited events.

These items are so valuable since they're essential tomaxing out talents for characters and bringing out the best of their potential. As a reward for Level 11 it makes the farming for Crimson Agates well worth it as these are usually the best rewards in the aforementioned events.

1/9 Wings of Concealing Snow - Level 12

The final reward from the Frostbearing Tree at Level 12 is the Wings of Concealing Snow. Similar to the namecard, this is just an aesthetic change and functions as a trophy for completing the tree entirely.

The Wings of Concealing Snow are a skin for your glider and are a stark white in color with an elegant design to match. You'll be seeing these a lot more than you would a namecard from the frequent gliding you'll be doing. You might even find yourself doing it more just to admire the wings!
