Genshin Impact introduced the new region of Inazuma in the 2.0 update, and as you have probably noticed, it’s densely packed with content. While most things are easy to access just by exploring the islands, one of the domains in the region won’t be accessible at first as it is hidden below the sea.
This can be a bit frustrating, as it appears that there is no clear way to get to the Araumi Domain being given to you. This is because it's a one-time challenge domain that rewards you with primogems and requires you to solve some puzzles to unlock it. The guide below is here to walk you through the steps to unlock the domain.
Gaining Access to The Araumi Domain
Getting to the domain is a bit more complicated than just solving a puzzle. In order to unlock it, you will need to make your way through the bulk of the Sakura Cleansing Ritual quest line before you have the ability to unlock the path to the domain. Even if you open the first door of the tower, you won't be able to open the second one without using the Memento Lens to activate the hidden switches.
Once you do, you will need to complete a series of underground puzzles in order to gain access.
- You will want to go to the path beside the Sakura root and drop down the hole into a flooded room.
- Swim to the stairs at the other end of the hallway and then move to the puzzle's cube on the other side to start the first puzzle.
Tip: Be sure to activate the waypoint above the Perpetual Mechanical Array to gain easy access to the boss.
- The first puzzle will drain the water from the ruin; simply get all the totems to face towards the stairs that you used to climb up to solve this puzzle.
- The second puzzle you will face makes things a bit more complicated. You will need to light up all the titles in the puzzle room without stepping on any of them twice; luckily, this is pretty easy to do. There are two puzzles of this type, but they are some of the most straightforward puzzles you will find in the game.
Completing The Empty Boat of a Thousand Gates Domain
The Empty Boat of a Thousand Gates is a one-time domain that is pretty easy to deal with. When you go into the domain, you will find that it is made up of sliding door puzzles.
- You will need to collect three electro sigils to open the door in the middle.
- Once you do, go to the domain's courtyard and challenge the samurai.
- Once he is about at half health, another samurai will spawn in to help him, so make sure you are not caught off guard.
- Be sure to buff yourself and use a shield during the fight to manage the heavy amount of damage dealt by the samurai.
