Hu Tao, the fiery medium, is finally available right now in Genshin Impact, and she brings with her the Moment of Bloom banner, which will boost your chances of pulling Hu Tao when you’re making your wishes and sacrificing your intertwined fates. But even if you haven’t managed to pull Hu Tao, you will be able to start her story quest, Perfect Send Off. This quest sees you accompanying Hu Tao through a long dungeon, filled with spiders, monsters, and even ghosts.
But as with any dungeon, there’s always one particularly difficult bit to solve. We’re going to run you through pretty much everything you need to know to clear through this quest, and then we’re going to give you explicit instructions on how to clear the most difficult part of this dungeon. Yes, it’s getting that pesky door open. We’ll help you with that.

How To Start Perfect Send Off
Begin the quest by heading to Wuwang Hill to meet Hu Tao. We’ll be sending off a spirit, not a malevolent one, just one that has struggled to pass on. We will be aiding in the process by bringing a bunch of keepsakes up to Wuwang Hill.
There’s a tiny cave nearby - a dungeon - an Hu Tao will usher us inside. Note that you are recommended to have a team of level 35 characters, at least, before venturing inside.
How To Navigate The “Ordinary Place”
One nice thing about entering the dungeon is that Hu Tao will join you so you can test her abilities, even if you haven’t managed to pull her in a summon. She’s a Pyro character, which is good since you’re encounter Cryo slimes and spider webs that will need burning through.
For the most part you will just need to beat enemies, burn spider webs, and follow your waypoint to make your way through the dungeon.
How To Open The Door in Perfect Send Off
The door has proven to be the toughest part of this quest, so here’s what you need to open it up and cross over to “the border.”
The doors in this dungeon open when the lanterns near them have small spirits connected to them, in a similar sense to Seelies. You’ll find floating, glowing sprites, and you should collect those and return them to these shrines.
The most difficult door in the dungeon can really through you, so just follow these instructions to get through:
- Pick up the spirit in the centre of the room, and then exit through the spider web corridor to the left of the door.
- Follow the path and jump into the water - swim to the end of this waterway.
- By continuing to follow the path, and sticking to the left, going down stairs when necessary, you will find yourself in a room identical to where you started, but you should be carrying two spirits with you, one for each shrine, opening up the path forward.
Once all of the above is complete, you should find yourself at the end of the story quest.
