If you're making your way through Liyue in Genshin Impact then you'll eventually need to know exactly how to repair the Guizhong Ballista, a powerful "adeptus" weapon used against evil "adeptibeasts" that are causing trouble. But there are a few hurdles along the way, namely finding the Guizhong Ballista, the materials needed to repair it, and then actually putting it all together. This Genshin Impact guide is going to walk you through everything you need to know to clear this quest with relative ease, so read on below for more.

Guizhong Ballista Location in Genshin Impact

The Guizhong Ballista is not too far from Liyue Harbor. Exit the city to the Northwest and follow the path, the Guizhong Ballista can be found just to the North of the main path. Check below for a proper map on where to find it. You'll have to climb up a cliff to get up to it, or if you trace around the area you can find a staircase. Just cross-reference your in-game map with the one we have here, and you'll easily be able to find the ballista on a raised platform with a ladder leading up to it.

Repairing the Guizhong Ballista in Genshin Impact

Unfortunately, you'll find that the Guizhong Ballista is damaged and is in need of repairs. So your next task will be finding the materials needed to repair it. Luckily, finding them isn't too difficult. The building next to the platform which the ballista is on contains all of the materials you need, but you'll find all three gates inside are locked - but there's an obvious way in, of course. There are two windows on the side of the building facing the ballista, and you can simply climb inside and reap the treasure for yourself. After you've opened up all of the chests you can climb back out the window, or you can stand on the button in the centre of the room which will open up all of the gates. Handy.

You can now head back up towards the Guizhong Ballista and repair it, which is easily done for our companion Zhongli, but soon you'll have Treasure Hoarders approach and start a fight, reporting that they disabled the ballista after it sentiently attacked them. Zhongli doesn't seem to care much for their plight though, and you'll do away with them.

Once all is said and done you'll be able to return to Qiqi at Bubu Pharmacy, and you'll have to report that you couldn't find the Cocogoat she wanted - but the mystery surrounding adeptus technology thickens.
