If you've found yourself fumbling around in the southernmost point of Liyue, trying to figure out how to continue Zhongli's questline, you aren't alone. Genshin Impact's latest character quest takes you way out into the water, and if you aren't careful, you'll drown trying to get there. Thankfully, there's an easy solution on how to get to the Pearl Galley and find Pinghai.
If you haven't been to the Pearl Galley until today, you'll need to head out there the hard way and unlock Pinghai back in Liyue Harbor by completing The Ocean Pearl questline. We'll start by getting there first.
How To Get To The Pearl Galley and Find Pinghai
Floating just outside of Liyue Harbor, you'll notice a big ornate ship idly sitting by. That's your target, but the secret to getting there lies a bit further south of the boat. Make your way south through the harbor or to the Golden House teleport to the west, either works out. Then head as far east as you can, climbing to the very top of a lone mountain south of the Pearl Galley. That's half the journey.
Characters like Venti are helpful if you're still at a point you're hurting for stamina, as his passive reduces stamina use when gliding. However, it probably isn't an issue if you've gotten this far in Adventure Rank for Zhongli's Sal Flore questline.
Go ahead and face north, set your sights on the Pearl Galley, and jump. You should be able to glide to the sides of the ship and climb up on the decorations.
Another alternative is freezing the water from the harbor all the way out to the big boat with characters like Chongyun, but with a good collection of geoculus and anemoculus, you should be fine gliding on any character. Freezing your way out there also takes ages.
The first time you find yourself aboard the Pearl Galley, you'll wind up being stopped by security and taken to Luoxia, the receptionist. She'll explain you need an invitation to hang out and task you with speaking to everyone on the ship. This begins The Ocean Pearl questline. After some back and forth, your next objective will have you warping back to Liyue Harbor to bring a letter to Chaoxi.
After you finish up delivering Chaoxi's reply to Cui'er, it's time to hunt down three Qingxins. The Genshin Impact interactive map is a helpful resource for locating just about any resource. Head back to the ship and speak with Luoaxia one more time, she'll direct you to Pinghai on the lower deck of the Pearl Galley. Speaking with him wraps everything up and rewards you with more adventure points. Pinghai will now stay in Liyue Harbor. You can visit him at the docks any time and request to be shipped out to the Pearl Galley, no longer needing to glide the long way.
