The fan favorite Anemo Archon, Venti, has been one of Genshin Impact's most beloved characters ever since his release. Whether it's his endearing antics, his carefree approach to divinity, or his unmatched crowd-control abilities, Venti is a five-star character that can liven up anyone's Genshin Impact experience.

In game, Venti takes on the form of a young bard in order to closely interact with the people of Mondstadt. This personal, lax approach to leadership contrasts starkly with his gameplay style, which employs Venti's bow to aggressively gather and take down swaths of enemies. Due to his powerful abilities, he can be a strong Anemo support character for your team, especially in encounters with large groups of weaker foes.

Updated March 28, 2022, by Kyle Gorges: Although Venti has faced some recent challenges in the form of fiercer, stronger enemies that can't be sucked by his Burst, the Tone-Deaf Bard is still a great support for dispatching scrawnier opposition or reducing enemy RES. This guide's recommended weapons, Artifacts, Talents, and Constellations have been updated to make sure you still recognize Venti as an impactful addition to your team, rather than just your preferred size of coffee.

Best Weapons For Venti

These are the weapons we recommend for Venti.

Weapon Name Base ATK Secondary Stat Passive Ability
Raven Bow 40 Elemental Mastery Venti's DMG is increased by 12% against opponents affected by Hydro or Pyro.
The Stringless 42 Elemental Mastery Venti's Elemental Skill and Burst DMG is increased by 24%.
Elegy for the End 46 Energy Recharge Venti's Elemental Mastery is increased by 60. When Venti's Elemental Skill or Burst hit opponents, he will gain a Sigil of Remembrance. Venti can gain a Sigil every 0.2s, and when 4 Sigils are possessed, they will be consumed, granting all party members 100 Elemental Mastery and 20% increased ATK for 12s. This effect has a 20s cooldown after triggering.

Raven Bow is a notable three-star bow that Venti can be effective with if you don't have higher-rarity options. Although 40 Base ATK is rather low, Venti's damage largely comes from Swirl Reactions anyway, making this shortcoming less significant. Elemental Mastery is also the ideal secondary stat for increasing Venti's Swirl damage. Even the passive ability of this weapon can gain some use when Venti is paired with Hydro or Pyro characters, especially when this weapon is at higher Refinement levels (which is fairly possible since it's not very rare).

The Stringless is a fantastic pick for Venti's bow, featuring higher Base ATK and higher Elemental Mastery than Raven Bow. It is a four-star bow that must be acquired from the game's Wish system, but if you're lucky enough to get one, equip it on Venti without hesitation. The passive effect is also incredibly potent at higher Refinement levels when paired with Venti's Elemental Burst.

Venti doesn't benefit from five-star weapons as much as most characters, but if you are looking to power him up, Elegy for the End is the best choice. It possesses high Base ATK than is the standard on five-star weapons, along with an Energy Recharge secondary stat to help Venti recharge his Burst quicker. The bow's passive ability is also quite powerful, but unfortunately Venti usually only benefits from part of it. Venti always gains the flat EM bonus from the weapon, but since his Burst 'snapshots' (locking in buffs at the time of casting), his Burst will not benefit from the bonuses provided by the Sigils of Remembrance. Still, this effect significantly boosts the damage of your other team members, making it a valuable supportive weapon.

If you were fortunate enough to acquire Windblume Ode from version 1.4's 'Invitation of Windblume' event, this is another great bow for Venti that is roughly on par with The Stringless.

Best Artifacts For Venti

We recommend seeking out the following artifacts for Venti.

Artifact Set Two-Piece Set Bonus Four-Piece Set Bonus
Viridescent Venerer Anemo DMG Bonus +15% Venti's Swirl DMG is increased by 60%. He will also decrease the opponent's Elemental RES to the element infused in the Swirl by 40% for 10s.
Noblesse Oblige Elemental Bust DMG +20% When Venti uses his Elemental Burst, all party members' ATK is increased by 20% for 12s.

Venti's best Artifacts are pretty straightforward, which should come as a relief to those who sweat over optimizing their characters in Genshin Impact. Four-piece Viridescent Venerer is definitely the go-to choice for most use cases since its set bonuses are so strong and so well-suited for Venti. The majority of Venti's damage comes from Swirling other elements generated by his teammates, so being able to reduce enemy resistance to those elements is extremely valuable for his status as a support. The Anemo DMG bonus from this set is just the cherry on top.

Noblesse Oblige is another classic support set that works well on Venti, providing your team with a substantial ATK buff at the mere cost of using your Burst. Using either two pieces or four pieces of this set is viable, but do note that this set is usually outperformed by Viridescent Venerer unless you're using Venti in a team that doesn't care about Elemental Reactions (Anemo+Geo teams, for example).

When it comes to Venti's Artifact main stats, you should do your best to seek out EM Sands, EM Goblets, and EM Circlets. This will maximize Venti's Swirl damage on your team, but it can be very difficult to acquire EM Goblets and Circlets specifically if luck isn't on your side. In that case, Anemo DMG Goblets and Crit Rate/DMG Circlets are fine until you can replace them.

Elemental Mastery is unsurprisingly a good pick for Venti's Artifact sub stats as well, closely followed by Energy Recharge. ATK% and Crit Rate/DMG aren't bad either, but you'll want to use Venti's Burst every time it's off cooldown, so having sufficient Energy Recharge is most important.

Venti's Talents And Constellations

Leveling up Talents in Genshin Impact can be pretty expensive in terms of Mora and materials, so you'll want to prioritize which ones you improve first. With Venti, the choice is clear: Burst > Skill > Normal Attacks.

Venti's Burst is the crux of his kit and likely the reason you put him on your team, so it's helpful to make it as strong as possible. Venti's Skill is also useful for Swirling elements and generating Anemo particles, so it's worth enhancing as well. Most players probably won't utilize Venti's Normal Attacks very often, but feel free to level them up to Level Six if you enjoy Venti and have materials to spare.

As a limited five-star character, Venti's Constellations might feel as attainable as his Gnosis after La Signora stole it from him. If you do want to contribute to Barbatos' drinking fund, though, there are a couple Constellations that stand out. Venti's C1 will be largely worthless unless you're rocking a main-DPS Venti loadout, but his C3, C4, and C6 especially go a long way towards increasing his Burst's potency. C2 gives his Skill more value, but the Physical RES decrease it provides doesn't have much synergy with Venti's usual teammates. Overall, Venti's Constellations are decent and will no doubt make him stronger, but they're probably only worth grabbing if Venti is one of your favorite characters.
