Everyone's favorite tone-deaf bard recently made a strong return to Genshin Impact, being featured on a rerun banner alongside Kamisato Ayato. Rumor has it that Venti also makes a surprise appearance in the new "Hues of the Violet Garden" event, meaning it's the perfect time to enlist the Anemo Archon into one of your teams.

Before we dive into Venti's best team compositions, we should make one thing clear: Venti can fit into any team, perhaps being one of the most universally usable characters in the game. His ability to group smaller enemies together is perpetually useful, and even if a specific foe can't be sucked-up, Venti still offers Elemental RES shred, team-wide Energy regeneration, and significant Swirl damage. If you find yourself with a free slot on one of your teams, consider choosing the deity of freedom himself.

Venti Likes His Drinks Cold

A Freeze team (which might be called a "Morgana" team, depending on the members) is one of the strongest compositions you can put together in Genshin Impact, and Venti is a character who can take it to the next level. Despite being so powerful, a Freeze team such as this is also extremely easy to execute. Activate Venti's Elemental Burst to cluster together enemies, toss in some Cryo damage to infuse Venti's Stormeye, then introduce a source of Hydro damage to Freeze the enemies in the midst of all your attacks. By the time Venti's Burst ends, you will probably have enough Energy to restart the cycle and lock your enemies in a permanent, icy prison.

A wide variety of Cryo and Hydro characters can be used as Venti's teammates in this composition, but you'll generally want a Cryo DPS, a Cryo support, and a Hydro support. Ayaka and Ganyu are your best options for the DPS slot, especially since Ganyu's Charged Attacks and Ayaka's Burst both benefit massively from enemies being grouped together by Venti's Burst.

Your Cryo support can consist of Diona, Shenhe, or Rosaria, depending on your playstyle. You could even run Ganyua and Ayaka if you want.

For your Hydro support, Mona has a lot of synergy with this particular team, but Kokomi is another great option. Xingqiu works also, but requires a bit more engagement to continually proc his Rain Swords.

Thanks to Ayato's recent introduction, you could even flip the script on the traditional Freeze team and make him the main DPS along with a Cryo support like Kaeya. This team would function essentially the same as the normal variant, and it would also be quite strong since Venti could continuously draw enemies into the range of Ayato's Skill. It's a great option if you managed to summon both Venti and Ayato on the recent banners.

A World-Renowned Bard

The "International Childe" team is another widely used team composition that owes its strength to its ability to trigger constant Vaporize reactions. Childe rapidly douses enemies with Hydro while Xiangling Vaporizes them for massive damage, and the entire party is healed and buffed by Bennett's Burst. The final puzzle piece is an Anemo character to Swirl all the elements and group enemies together for swift disposal.

Kazuha and Sucrose might've usurped this role a bit thanks to their Elemental DMG buffs and Elemental Mastery bonuses, but Venti was the original king of this position. Even now, he still draws in enemies more easily than either of his Anemo companions, which is a significant asset for Childe in particular, whose Riptide surges when enemies are grouped up. Don't dismiss Venti for this team even if you own his counterparts.

The Freedom Of Adventure

Heart-racing, blood-pumping combat is certainly one of Genshin Impact's main appeals, but another major draw for players is the game's exploration. The land of Teyvat is exceptionally large and always expanding, so putting together an efficient adventure team to explore the world is a worthwhile endeavor.

Venti is an excellent choice for an exploration team as a result of his Skill, his element, and his Passive Talent. His Hold Skill creates a column of air that's incredibly helpful for scaling cliffs, reaching airborne Anemoculi, or even just scoping out the area. Venti and another Anemo character can also give your team Anemo Resonance, decreasing your Stamina consumption by 15 percent and increasing your movement speed by ten percent. Combine this with Venti's Passive Talent, which reduces Stamina consumption while gliding by 20 percent, and the efficiency improvement is noticeable when you're traversing the continent to complete the Traveler's errands.

Consider choosing Sayu as Venti's Anemo buddy, since her Skill can also be held to roll across long distances. The final two members of your exploration team can be whomever you want, but other characters with helpful exploration passives include Rosaria, Kaeya, and Beidou. Claymore-users or Geo characters might also be useful to mine any ore deposits you come across along the way.
