When it comes to being successful in Genshin Impact, you need the right build. This is much harder than it sounds due to how challenging or expensive it can be to get the right weapons for who you want to improve. This is especially important when your main is the likes of Xiao.
Xiao is a badass and incredibly powerful DPS that requires a careful build to be as unstoppable as he can be. One of the main aspects that needs to be prioritized is his weapon. This will allow him to live up to his status as the 'Bane of All Evil'.
8/8 White Tassel
Since Xiao is a polearm fighter, it can be a real challenge to draw any weapons that could be useful, let alone any powerful five-star items. This is why it's important to look at any weapon from three-star upwards to give you a chance to get something useful.
The White Tassel is the best option for Xiao when it comes to three-star weapons. It increases your damage by 24% when doing a normal attack so is a relatively reliable choice. It may not be the most powerful, but it's much easier to get hold of.
7/8 Deathmatch
Deathmatch is a powerful and badass-looking weapon that works well with the likes of Xiao. It isn't easy to get hold of but has some useful elements other than just being a high-ranking item or doing some good damage as a baseline.
This weapon will increase Xiao's attack and defense by 16% if there are two enemies near him. If not, then your attack will be increased by 24%. This both allows Xiao to do the damage he is best at but also keeps him standing and protected when you find him surrounded. It's particularly useful when dealing with a lot of enemies at once.
6/8 Blackcliff Pole
When it comes to a tough battle with Xiao, you really just want to do as much damage as possible as quickly as you can. That's what this character thrives in, which both looks and feels awesome. To feel this you need to have a weapon that is capable of doing the sort of damage you're looking for. This four-star weapon will certainly provide and is a lot easier than the likes of many five-stars.
Blackcliff Pole grants you an increase in attack every time you defeat an enemy. This stacks up to three times and increases your attack by 12% for 30 seconds each time it activates. That's a maximum of a 36% increase in your damage, making him the DPS you always dreamed he'd be.
5/8 Calamity Queller
This rather regal-looking weapon is one of the best five-star items available for Xiao. This is primarily due to the power it grants both you and the rest of the party whether the character is part of the battle or not.
With a bonus to elemental damage and the ability to obtain Consummation for an impressive 20 seconds, the Calamity Queller is incredibly fun to use. It can increase Xiao's attack by 3.2% per second which can be game-changing in certain situations. It also doubles Consummation's attacks when Xiao isn't on the battlefield making this weapon ideal for almost any battle you find yourself in.
4/8 Skyward Spine
Getting hold of a five-star weapon is a challenge not many want to go through. It can be relatively time-consuming, expensive, or just frustrating. The only issue, it's how you get those powerful weapons like Skyward Spine. For some items, that grind is absolutely worth it.
The Skyward Spine will make Xiao faster, more powerful, and has an AoE that both looks awesome and can change the tide of battle if used well. This weapon will give you a critical chance of 8%, combined with the attack speed you'll be watching the damage get higher and higher. As for the AoE, there's a 50% chance to activate it and the effect causes a blade that does 40% of the damage you would normally do to enemies around Xiao. It's an incredibly useful element that's perfect for multiple enemies at once.
3/8 Engulfing Lightning
One of the best things about Genshin Impact is the overall design of weapons, characters, and really anything in the game. They all face a wonderful anime-style about them that makes anyone feel incredibly badass whenever they use it. This is absolutely the case with the weapon, Engulfing Lighting.
Not only does it have a unique look and a cool name, but this weapon is capable of dealing some great damage and has some powerful buffs for Xiao. These include increasing your attack by 28% which stacks to a maximum of 80% meaning those crits almost become useless.
2/8 Staff Of Homa
The Staff of Homa is often classed as the best weapon for Xiao if the Primordial Jade Winged-Spear didn't exist. It looks fantastic, fights like a dream, and will both keep you alive and keep the enemies down before they even get a chance to do damage.
If they do get the opportunity to do some dangerous damage to Xiao then fear not, for your attack bonus will increase by 1% of your max health when it gets lower than 50%. It almost feels like a last-stand style ending to a battle. This weapon isn't just useful when Xiao is low on health. It actually increases health in general by 20% and will give you an attack bonus of 0.8% based on your maximum health. It's like a healer and damage dealer rolled into one.
1/8 Primordial Jade Winged-Spear
While it can be really useful to have a weapon that gives you more health or does some AoE attacks, nothing is better than debuffing an enemy so you and the rest of the party can defeat them quickly and easily. When this weapon is as powerful as this, it's hard to not think this is Genshin Impacts' best weapon for Xiao.
After all, with the ability to add a debuff to the enemy with every basic attack while still doing damage that has been increased by 3.2%, you'll be flying through enemies. The best thing is the fact that these debuffs stack and your damage is increased by 12% when that stack gets to seven. This applies to others doing damage as well.
