Viewed by many of Mondstadt's citizens as the Church of Favonius' least devout member, Rosaria nonetheless works tirelessly to protect the city's residents from evil plots while pursuing her own interpretation of piety. This mysterious nun is also a capable, Cryo-aligned polearm user, who won't hesitate to silence any Abyssal schemes she comes across.

Rosaria is a four-star character within Genshin Impact, (theoretically) making her attainable for most players. If you choose to include Rosaria in your team, you'll find yourself with an aggressive, powerful Burst Support who can supply your team with extra damage, Energy, and buffs. This guide will teach you everything you need to know in order to build Rosaria into a character that will send enemies of the church running.

Updated May 6, 2022, by Kyle Gorges: Rosaria remains one of the best options for players who want an offensive Cryo support on their team. Whether she's paired with Ayaka, Eula, or even Xiangling, Rosaria can be an effective member of many strong teams. Her recommended builds have been updated so that she can continue exacting justice on behalf of her favorite god, "Barsabatos."

Best Weapons For Rosaria

Weapon Name Base ATK Secondary Stat Passive Ability
Deathmatch 41 Crit Rate If there are at least 2 opponents nearby, Rosaria's ATK and DEF are increased by 16%. If there are fewer than 2 opponents nearby, Rosaria's ATK is increased by 24%.
Favonius Lance 44 Energy Recharge Rosaria's Critical Hits have a 60% chance to generate Elemental Particles that will regenerate 6 Energy for the character who receives them. This effect can occur once every 12s.
Wavebreaker's Fin 45 ATK For every point of the entire party's combined maximum Energy capacity, Rosaria's Elemental Burst DMG is increased by 0.12%. A maximum of 40% increased Elemental Burst DMG can be attained this way.
Staff of Homa 46 Crit DMG Rosaria's HP is increased by 20%, and she receives an ATK Bonus based on 0.8% of her maximum HP. When Rosaria's HP is less than 50%, this ATK Bonus is increased by an additional 1% of her maximum HP.

Deathmatch is a fantastic four-star polearm that can be obtained through Genshin Impact's Battle Pass. While this weapon truly shines when Rosaria is facing a single foe, even the smaller boosts to ATK and DEF are nothing to sneeze at. This weapon's Crit Rate secondary stat also benefits your whole party, since Rosaria can pass Crit Rate to her teammates when she casts her Elemental Burst.

Favonius Lance is a weapon that most players probably have dozens of by this point, but its popularity is simply a sign of its utility. Thanks to Favonius Lance's Energy Recharge stat and passive ability, Rosaria will be able to use her Burst whenever it's off cooldown, and she can also pass Elemental Particles to your team's main DPS character.

Not everyone was lucky enough to snag Wavebreaker's Fin when it was last available, but it's a strong weapon for Rosaria if you have it. If you have this weapon at a higher Refinement Level and you're using Rosaria on a team with high-cost Bursts, this weapon can even outperform many five-star polearms.

As always, any five-star polearm is viable on Rosaria. They will almost always be stronger than their lower-rarity counterparts, but the most powerful of them all for Rosaria is Staff of Homa. She doesn't care much about the weapon's HP bonus itself, but its high Base ATK, Crit DMG secondary stat, and ATK-boosting passive make this polearm especially deadly.

Best Artifacts For Rosaria

Artifact Set Name Two-Piece Set Bonus Four-Piece Set Bonus
Blizzard Strayer Cryo DMG Bonus +15% Rosaria's Crit Rate is increased by 20% against opponents who are affected by Cryo. If the opponent is Frozen, her Crit Rate is increased by an additional 20%.
Noblesse Oblige Elemental Burst DMG +20% When Rosaria uses her Elemental Burst, all party member's ATK is increased by 20% for 12s. This effect cannot stack.
Emblem of Severed Fate Energy Recharge +20% Rosaria's Elemental Burst DMG is increased by 25% of her Energy Recharge. A maximum of 75% bonus DMG can be obtained this way.

Artifact Set Analysis

Rosaria is fairly flexible when it comes to her best Artifact sets. Two pieces of Blizzard Strayer and two pieces of Noblesse Oblige are a great generalist option that will let Rosaria's Burst hit especially hard.

Four pieces of Blizzard Strayer can be used if you really want to fortify Rosaria's Crit Rate stat and personal damage. Remember that she can grant her teammates Crit Rate bonuses based on her own Crit Rate stat, making this build more supportive than you might think.

On the other hand, four pieces of Noblesse Oblige leans fully into Rosaria's supportive capabilities, boosting the ATK of your entire party whenever she casts her Burst. Running this full Artifact set will exchange some of Rosaria's individual damage for higher damage from your other team members.

Emblem of Severed Fate is also never a bad option for Burst Support characters. This set will give you ample Energy Recharge to refill your Burst, and will further enhance the damage of your Burst based on your Energy Recharge. This is generally a useful Artifact set to farm, and if you have a surplus of Emblem of Severed Fate pieces as a result, consider equipping them on Rosaria.

Artifact Stats

For the main-stats of Rosaria's Artifacts, you'll typically want to look for ATK% or ER Sands, Cyro DMG Bonus Goblets, and Crit Rate/DMG Circlets.

As a Burst Support, having enough Energy Recharge is critical to Rosaria's functionality; however, once you have enough ER to use your Burst on cooldown, any excess ER becomes wasted. Keep this in mind when selecting which Sands to use.

In terms of Artifact sub-stats, damage-oriented ones are the way to go. Crit Rate/DMG, ATK%, and ER can all be valuable. Elemental Mastery should only be invested in if you're planning on using Rosaria in a "Reverse Melt" team with someone like Xiangling.

Rosaria's Talents And Constellations

Rosaria's Talents

Rosaria's Burst should take priority when leveling up her Talents, as this is her primary source of utility and damage. Her Skill should be leveled up next, and her Normal Attacks can be left under-leveled unless you want to experiment with Rosaria as a Physical DMG carry.

Rosaria's Constellations

Rosaria is lucky enough to have some powerful Constellations, and since she's a four-star character, her Constellations are likely more attainable than those of five-stars.

Rosaria's first Constellation increases her ATK SPD and Normal Attack DMG. This is only useful if she's your on-field DPS character, which is indeed a fun playstyle for her, but not one that's typically used.

Her C2 is widely considered her best Constellation, increasing the duration of her Burst by four seconds. This allows it to produce two extra blasts of damage, making the ability noticeably stronger.

Rosaria's C3 and C5 increase the levels of her Skill and Burst, respectively, by three. Since her Burst is more impactful than her Skill, C5 is the stronger Constellation out of the two.

C4 periodically regenerates Energy for Rosaria, which can be helpful, but is often unnecessary if you give Rosaria sufficient Energy Recharge elsewhere.

Rosaria's final Constellation, C6, is only useful if she's supporting a Physical DMG carry like Eula or Razor. That being said, it will allow her Burst to reduce opponents' Physical RES by a massive 20 percent for ten seconds, making this Constellation quite strong in the right scenario.
