Rosaria is the newest four-star character in Genshin Impact and the first to debut since Xinyan and Diona in November. She is a cryo polearm user, who has a surprising amount of power behind her attacks. She is versatile enough to fit both the DPS and support roles, and many players are already leaning toward her being just as good as a five-star like Diluc.

Rosaria certainly seems to be the new level of four-star, and players who are thinking about pulling her will likely be surprised by just how much damage she can dish out during battle. Rosaria can be a powerhouse, especially when you learn how to properly use her. Get ahead of the game with these pro tips to get the most out of Rosaria.

Rosaria's Skills

Rosaria is a character that can dominate the battlefield and act quickly to take out small threats like hilichurls and slimes.

Her elemental skill, Ravaging Confession allows her to teleport behind smaller enemies to deal a cryo slash. Larger enemies won't allow Rosaria to move behind them, but she will still deal a slash to their front. You can use the move to dodge attacks, especially from Fatui Agents who generally deal massive amounts of damage. This is a bit useless against shield mitachurls, so you should be careful not to waste this skill against these enemies.

Like most characters, Rosaria has passive skills that will unlock as she ascends.

  • Regina Probationum will increase her crit rate by 12% when she teleports behind an enemy and strikes them with Ravaging Confession. This effect lasts for five seconds.
  • Shadow Samaritan is a great support passive as using Ravaging Confession will give everyone in the party, except Rosaria, a 15% crit rate bonus for twelve seconds.
  • Night Walk is her out-of-battle passive that lets the party move 10% faster between 18:00 and 6:00. This is only effective in the overworld, not in domains or the Spiral Abyss.

Keep in mind that ascending her is also a key to unlocking her power. Like some of the other DPS-focused characters, she needs Insignia's which can be hard to farm. Luckily her favorite plant is Valberry which grows in sets of five.

Rosaria's Constellations

Like any four-star, players should aim to get as many constellations as possible to bring out her full potential. Here's what you'll get:

  • C1 - Dealing a critical hit will increase Rosaria's attack speed and attack damage by 10% for four seconds.
  • C2 - Rosaria's ice lance will now last four seconds longer.
  • C3 - Ravaging Confession can now be leveled up to level 15.
  • C4 - If Ravaging Confession gets a critical hit on an enemy, Rosaria gain five elemental particles.
  • C5 -  Rites of Termination can now be leveled up to level 15.
  • C6 - Using Rites of Termination now decreases enemies' physical resistance by 20% for ten seconds.

The C2 level is one that many players will really want to pull as extending her burst is going to be a huge help when setting off reactions. Her elemental burst, Rites of Termination allows her to slash enemies standing directly in front of her before a cryo lance lands on the battlefield. The lance will continually pulse cryo damage inside of an AoE circle.

Rosaria As Support or DPS Main

Rosaria can be your main DPS or a support character, depending on how you build her using artifacts and weapons. As a DPS main, she can work well with characters like Mona or Fischl who can unleash a continuous elemental attack that will react with enemies.

In many ways, Rosaria is now one of the strongest four-stars in the game and will likely become a popular DPS character, especially among free-to-play players.

As a support character, Rosaria can quickly help deal with smaller enemies and then use her burst to place cryo on larger enemies. This is the perfect time to bring out Diluc or another heavy hitter to take down enemies like Ruin Guards and Mitachurls or freeze enemies for field control.

Rosaria does extremely well when in co-op as she can easily switch from helping with reactions to dealing high amounts of damage from her normal and charged attacks.

Best Party Members For Rosaria

Depending on how you want to use Rosaria, her party members will change a bit. For those wishing to use her as a DPS, the following characters all have moves that will continually damage enemies with elemental damage that will cause a reaction with cryo.

  • Fischl
  • Mona
  • Lisa
  • Beidou
  • Barbara
  • Xiangling
  • Klee
  • Xingqiu
  • Xinyan

These characters each have an elemental skill or burst that will work when switched out of the battlefield.

For those who want to use Rosaria as a support, she will aid the following DPS mains in battle, especially when she uses her burst to pulse cryo damage:

  • Diluc
  • Venti
  • Xiao
  • Razor
  • Mona
  • Hu Tao
  • Keqing
  • Tartaglia
  • Bennett
  • Xinyan
  • Klee

Rosaria seems to gather energy for her burst rather quickly, which is something players should look to for any support. She is also a solid exploration character, especially for players who don't mind walking around at night. The 10% boost in walk speed can really help you cover more ground in less time when searching for chests. Overall, the hype is not misplaced and as a four-star, she should be easier to acquire.
