Kujou Sara is pretty busy these days trying to restore the Tenryou Commission and the Kujou Clan to their former glory. However, if you can drag her away from her military duties (perhaps by bribing her with a Raiden Shogun figure), then you'll find yourself with a powerful ally to accompany you on your adventures in Genshin Impact.

Kujou Sara is a four-star Electro bow user who specializes in supporting your team with AoE Burst damage and ATK buffs. While perhaps not as universally viable as supports like Bennett or Sucrose, Kujou Sara is particularly strong on Electro-centric teams or Physical teams in need of a Superconduct enabler. Of course, characters in Genshin Impact are only as strong as their builds, so this guide will show you the best ways to power up your stubborn and strategic tengu general.

Best Weapons For Kujou Sara

Weapon Name Base ATK Secondary Stat Passive Ability
Sacrificial Bow 44 Energy Recharge When Kujou Sara damages an opponent with her Elemental Skill, the Skill has a 40% chance to reset its own cooldown. This can only occur once every 30s.
Alley Hunter 44 ATK When Kujou Sara is off the field, her DMG will increase by 2% every second up to a maximum of 20%. When she is on the field for more than 4s, the DMG buff decreases by 4% every second until it reaches 0%.
Elegy for the End 46 Energy Recharge Kujou Sara's Elemental Mastery is increased by 60. When Kujou Sara's Elemental Skill or Burst hits opponents, she will gain a Sigil of Remembrance. When Kujou Sara possesses 4 Sigils of Remembrance, they will be consumed, increasing all party members' EM by 100 and all party members' ATK by 20% for 12s. Once this effect is triggered, Kujou Sara cannot gain Sigils of Remembrance for 20s.
Skyward Harp 48 Crit Rate Kujou Sara's Crit DMG is increased by 20%. Her hits on opponents have a 60% chance to inflict a small AoE attack, which deals 125% Physical ATK DMG. This effect can occur once every 4s.

Kujou Sara's primary use is buffing her teammates, and her buff scales off her Base ATK stat. For this reason, bows with high Base ATK will allow you to get the most out of Kujou Sara's supportive capabilities.

Sacrificial Bow and Alley Hunter both share the same Base ATK, which is the highest among four-star bows, so they'll grant Kujou Sara the same buffing potential. Sacrificial Bow gives Kujou Sara higher uptime on her Skill and Burst, while Alley Hunter offers more personal damage for Kujou Sara thanks to its secondary ATK stat and damage-oriented passive. Feel free to choose whichever one you prefer for Kujou Sara, as both will be effective.

Five-star bows are also viable on Kujou Sara since they have even higher Base ATK than their lower-rarity counterparts. Elegy for the End has slightly lower Base ATK than Skyward Harp, but Kujou Sara can easily trigger its passive ability, which will benefit the entire team significantly. On the flip side, if you want Kujou Sara to provide the biggest buffs possible while dealing high damage on her own, Skyward Harp will be your best bet.

Best Artifacts For Kujou Sara

Artifact Set Name Two-Piece Set Bonus Four-Piece Set Bonus
Emblem of Severed Fate Energy Recharge +20% Kujou Sara's Elemental Burst DMG is increased by 25% of her Energy Recharge. Up to 75% bonus DMG can be obtained in this way.
Noblesse Oblige Elemental Burst DMG +20% After Kujou Sara uses her Elemental Burst, all party members' ATK is increased by 20% for 12s.

Artifact Set Analysis

Emblem of Severed Fate and Noblesse Oblige are both staple Artifact sets for supports in Genshin Impact, so it should be unsurprising that they are both excellent choices for Kujou Sara.

Emblem of Severed Fate will allow Kujou Sara's Burst to deal impressive damage while also ensuring that you can use it frequently thanks to the set's built-in Energy Recharge. Emblem of Severed Fate also has an especially efficient Domain to farm for multiple characters, so acquiring this set will be generally beneficial.

A full Noblesse Oblige set is also a solid choice for Sara, increasing her Burst's damage while buffing your entire team for 12 seconds afterwards. Note that this effect cannot stack with itself, so only use this set on Kujou Sara if no one else on your team is running it.

Artifact Stats

Regarding Artifact main-stats, you should ideally equip Kujou Sara with Energy Recharge/ATK% Sands, Electro DMG Bonus Goblets, and Crit Rate/DMG Circlets. If you have enough Energy Recharge from other sources then you can equip ATK% Sands for extra damage, but Energy Recharge Sands are generally the safer option to make sure you can use Kujou Sara's Burst as soon as its cooldown ends.

The best Artifact sub-stats for Kujou Sara are Crit Rate/DMG, Energy Recharge, and ATK%. Even though Kujou Sara is primarily a buffer/support, sub-stats like these will make Hilichurls think twice about facing her alone. Also keep in mind that Elemental Mastery is not particularly strong on Kujou Sara since she's not an adept user of Electro Reactions.

Kujou Sara's Talents And Constellations

Kujou Sara's Talents

Leveling up Kujou Sara's Elemental Skill should be the priority, as this will directly influence how much her Skill can buff your other party members. You should then level up her Burst next, since it deals notable damage on its own, especially with higher levels and Constellations.

Increasing the level of Kujou Sara's Normal Attacks is largely optional since she doesn't use them much in her typical gameplay pattern. That being said, leveling them up to Level Six is fairly cost-effective, so feel free to do that if you have the materials to spare. You'll also see a nice damage boost on her Charged Shot from this.

Kujou Sara's Constellations

Even though most Constellations in Genshin Impact are more optional than some high rollers would have you believe, Kujou Sara actually has rather influential ones.

Kujou Sara's C1 is admittedly a little lackluster, simply shortening the cooldown of her Skill by a small amount. Granted, this can sometimes allow faster rotations on quick-swap teams.

Kujou Sara's C2 is incredibly versatile, producing a second Crowfeather at the location she teleports to during her Skill. This frees up her gameplay tremendously, letting Kujou Sara buff herself before using her Burst, or even allowing her to skip her Charged Shot entirely before buffing another ally. This is a very handy Constellation that will make playing as Kujou Sara feel much smoother.

Kujou Sara's third and fifth Constellations increase the levels of her Burst and Skill, respectively. Since Kujou Sara's Burst and Skill both scale quite well, these are both valuable Constellations.

C4 increases the number of Tengu Juurai: Stormclusters released by her Burst from four to six. This improvement is mainly noticeable against large bosses or hordes of enemies, but it also makes her Burst look really cool, which is a definite plus.

Kujou Sara's C6 is incredibly potent, and the reason she is featured on so many Electro teams. When Kujou Sara buffs other characters (or herself) with her Tengu Juurai, they will also have their Electro Crit DMG increased by 60 percent. This damage boost is massive, and provides good justification for such a difficult to obtain Constellation.
